lexi rested her head on her hand, her thoughts slowly swallowing her. so silent, yet so deadly. fortunately, moriah snapped her out of her thoughts. the younger started cleaning up the mess in front of her, she noticed. lexi quickly swatted moriah's hands away and cleaned it herself.

"why dont you go up, or stay here"
"... "
" yell at me all you want, its fine-"
"no" lexi turned to the other.
"huh?"
"im not gonna yell at you, im just sad. i know you did it to save the job, to save me"
"youre right, every decision i make is for you and everyone in this house"
"i-i know.... im sorry for not being thankful" lexi softly smiled.
"you dont have to be-"
"no! i should because youve risked everything for me, a-and i haven been a g-good friend to you. im sorry...."

lexi threw the glass away and hugged moriah. the other cried on her whilst she just held her tight, in a ckmforting way. they broke from the hug, moriah sniffled. lexi smiled.

"its ok, as long as i get to protect you my friend-no, sister "
"right" they laughed.
"ok, imma go clean up this mess"
"why is there a wine glass broken though, did you drink again?"
"uh... "

lexi nervously chuckled as moriah squinted her eyes at her.

" lexi, what happened when i was asleep?"
"well you see-goddamnit, wendy broke into our house"
"whAT?!"
"chill, she just made a proposal thats it"

"she said maybe we could partner up and merge our companies. to become the queens of mafia. apparently we have 'chemistry', wendy and i"

moriah smirked then nodded, lexi huffed. she crossed her arms.

"what?"
"hmm?"
"youre making that face, that 'ok, i know somethings on' face"
"dude, seriously youre dense"
"what do you mean?"
"clearly, wendy son likes you"
"bitch what? she tried to kill me multiple times, and has the audacity to take interest in me? bitch, i think the fuck not"

lexi threw the paper towels she used to clean the stains with before walking to the main door. moriah raised her brow at the action.

"where are you going?"
"to get coffee, i need to let all of this sink in first"
"its like 3 am in the morning-"
"i dont care, bye bitch"

and with that last statement said, lexi left moriah. the younger sighed,staring at the main door.

"someones in love"

lexi shivered, a chill running down her spine. she hugged herself, trying to warm up. she suddenly regrets not wearing a jacket, walking in a loose shirt and shorts in winter is not the best thing to do. the cold air kissed her skin, making it slightly red and pink. everytime she breathes a mist escapes her mouth. yep, its definately winter season.

even though the cold wind is possibly deadly, she enjoyed the late night walk. she looked up, appreciating the night sky. it always fascinated her. how the dark sky was lit up by the stars, those golden orbs giving life to it. just like how chyna gave life to her, she sadly smiled.

she missed her bestfriend.

lexi went in her local coffee shop. sighing as she felt warmth welcome her, the scent of coffee filling up her nose. she smiled in content, she really loves coffee. she noticed that no one was there except for herself and the cute barista. she walked to the counter, clearing her throat. the barista noticed and jumped slightly, lexi chuckled.

"o-OH! goodmorning ma'am! what would you like?"
"i'd like 6 shots of expresso, no milk or cream. iced"
"are you crazy?"
"no, im lexi" the other giggled.
"is that so" lexi smiled.
"and you are?"
"kate, nice to meet you"
"same goes to you"

the two conversed and laughed while kate made lexi's drink. after 10 minutes, kate finished the drink. she handed it to lexi who gladlg took it.

"how much would it be?"
"its on the house!"
"really?" kate nodded.
"really"
"how about, i pay you with my number?"
"r-really?"kate blushed.
"really"

lexi took out a pen and paper. she wrote her number, rolled it and gave it to kate. the petite girl smiled shyly as lexi smirked.

"well, thanks for the talk and the coffee... text me, ok? "

kate nodded, she watched lexi leave. she fanned her face, trying to get rid of the heat coarsing through her veins. she opened the note, her eyes widened.

kate teared up as she held the bunch of money. shes been taking late night shifts just to fend for herself,shes being paid barely minimum wage. shes been through a lot. receiving this much from a person she barely knew of meant a lot. she smiled.
