Rain is crashing down past the bright full moon and I try to navigate myself through the pitch black horizon. My muddy feet pound across the floor as i run for my life through the woods. I twist and turn every chance i get trying to lose him. I feel my legs burn from the running and the hem of my dress is now soggy and brown. I conceal myself behind a tree and cover my mouth with my hand not letting any sobs escape through my fingers. Footstep rapidly approach behind me followed by a husky voice shouting out
"Come back here!"
Suddenly his footstep slow down, just as i am about to slip away i hear a twig snap which sends me straight back to the trunk of the tree and once again i hear the same voice calling out
"You can run but you can't hide"
This was it. I either stayed and let the guy catch me, or i run. I run and keep on running until i find somewhere safer to wait out the night. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and...ran! I stumbled across the overgrown roots and i felt my heart stop at the sound of footprints behind me. I was now skidding across the muddy surface i clung onto a nearby branch as a mixture of raindrops and tears started to stream down my face.
Was this it?
I close my eyes again and picture my mum, i remember her laugh and hear her sing to me. The same songs she sang to me as a child. So i start to sing. I am clinging to a branch in the middle of a storm, crying and singing out to the heavens as i see a burly silhouette rapidly approach me.
Soon he is right in front of me, panting. He grabs my arm with his gigantic hairy fist and yanks me from the branch onto the floor. By now i have realized we are near the edge of a slope, if i could just get him to fall off the edge it would give me enough time to get away! I start to squirm away and kick him as he tries to pin me into the increasingly large pool of mud surrounding us. Luckily i managed to boot him in the face, seizing the opportunity i dashed towards the slope, however the ground, as previously mentioned was slippery so upon reaching the slope i skidded straight off the edge
I'm tumbling. Right down the slope i am thrown through bushes and other sorts of vegetation growing on the side of this immense slope. It was way steeper than i thought. I desperately started trying to grab onto anything to stop the falling but by the time i look in front of me i was greeted by the welcoming hug of a big wet rock
Blackness.
