That I would be a great animator,
That I would be someone people would talk about,
That I would be someone people genuinely cared about,
I would live in a beautiful house with a husband or wife and have two adopted sons or daughters and two of my own,
I would have lots of fans that would love and support me,
I would have money to help support people who need it the most,
But life doesn't work like that, does it now?
Life starts off giving all the love you could ever ask for,
Life ends with all the love you could ever ask for,
But what happens in between the beginning and the end?
Life will make you hurt,
Life will make you cry,
Life will make you think it's not worth it,
That you are not worth it,
Life will make you want to give up,
But it's not the life you want to live,
The life you want to live is a fantasy,
It isn't real, but if it was everyone would be happy,
If life were fair people wouldn't be hungry,
If life were fair people wouldn't be thirsty,
If life were fair people wouldn't be homeless and in need of money,
If life were fair people wouldn't have to suffer,
They wouldn't have to die,
Life wouldn't end, and yet it does,
So why, why is it that we live the life we do?
Why do we live if we only suffer?
Why don't we just quit?
JUST GIVE UP!
It's because we have these dreams, these fantasies,
These dreams keep us going,
Some people will be able to live these dreams,
While the rest of us stumble and fall trying to even touch the surface,
But it's not just the dreams,
It's the people around us that keep us going,
It's the people that truly care that keeps us going,
It's the people that truly love you that will keep you going,
So even though it seems as though the world wants to bring you down,
Just think of that dream and all those people and then you will see you shouldn't give up,
You shouldn't lose hope,
You shouldn't abandon that dream,
Because if you do,
Then you give up on life itself
Keep working hard to at least touch the surface,
And soon you will see it's not worth giving up after all,
For I have a dream that you can reach yours.
