Hiyoko survives AU

Trapped by the Ocean Scent

It was another day stuck on the island. Not long ago the small but menacing teddy bear Monokuma gave out the new motive. The Despair disease. So far 3 have only been infected and had to be taken to the hospital. They were Ibuki, whose symptoms made her believe everything she was told, Nagito, whose symptoms was to only tell lies and Akane, who became a coward. Out of the remaining 8 students they try to devise a plan to deal with the disease.
In the end they all agreed that Mikan, Fuyuhiko, and Hajime would watch over the 3 sick students. The rest of the students decided to stay at a nearby motel. Immediately after arriving Hiyoko locked herself in her room. 'So we're back to this stupid mess again' She thought. 'We're all in a panic and have no idea what to do about it...not to mention the chance of another murder taking place'. She tries to take her mind off it but she just couldn't. "What should I do Mahiru?" She questions. "It's been hard without you. I don't know what to do" she starts to cry and after that she fell asleep.
Hiyoko wakes up to a knock at her door. "Who is it?" "It's me Kazuichi!" a voice cried out. "What do you want you idiot mechanic" Hiyoko scoffs. "Well I managed to find a way to talk to the others at the hospital at the music venue and were going to do a test run but if you're just gonna insult me you can just stay here!" He replied back. "Well I didn't want to leave anyway! I'd rather stay in this room than catch that dumb disease or see your ugly faces!" Hiyoko yells back to have Kazuichi respond "Be like that then!" Hiyoko tried to go back to sleep while the others went to the music venue.
Next morning she still hasn't left her room. A few hours pass by and eventually gets to the evening. 'I'm getting hungry and I'm running out of candy! But...the supermarket is all the way at the first island...What if I catch the disease by then!' She thinks to herself. Hiyoko was getting hungry and did need something to eat whether it be candy or not. She decided to leave her room for the first time since their arrival to get something to eat. Only taking about three steps out she paused and thought 'if I continue to go I might catch the disease and end up getting killed.' She was terrified ever since that bear took over, since the first murder and execution, and since Mahiru died. "Oh Hiyoko you're finally out of your room!" A voice cried out to her. She turned to the voice and saw none other than the beautiful princess Sonia Nevermind. "What do you want?" Hiyoko asks in a rudely. Sonia responds with "You haven't left your room for a while and I got worried so I wanted to give you something to eat!" She pulled out some snacks from the bag she had but what really caught Hiyoko's attention was the packs of gummy bears Sonia had. "Are those for me?" "Of course!" Sonia responds with a smile. Hiyoko was always jealous at how Sonia was always being pampered by others and wanted nothing to do with her and yet here she was trying to help Hiyoko. "Th-Thank you...but don't think I'll pay you back or anything!" Hiyoko then proceeds to eat the gummy bears.
"Uhm Hiyoko may I ask you something?" Hiyoko nods. "When was the last time you showered?" "HUH!? I don't smell THAT bad do I...?" "Well, I am smelling something foul and I believe it's from you." Hiyoko then ran back into her room ready to cry. It's true she hasn't showered in a while but that was because she still couldn't tie her kimono by herself. Mahiru taught her how to do it but she's now she can't help her anymore. "Mahiru taught me how to do it, so I should tie my sash by myself!" Hiyoko exclaimed to herself. She finally decided to take a shower.
However after she finished showering she tried to put her kimono on. She put it on halfway but there's was an issue, she just couldn't tie her kimono sash. "Dammit c'mon I can do this!" She keeps telling herself. As it turns out she forgot to lock the entrance to her room and the person who came in was Sonia. "Hiyoko! Do you need help tying your sash?" She asks. "N-No I can do it! Mahiru taught me so I can do it!" Hiyoko responded. "What are you even doing here you mighty queen bee!" Sonia answers "I wanted to apologize if I accidentally insulted you earlier about your smell, I wanted to say sorry earlier but I realized you started showering so I decided to come back later" "Oh well I don't forgive you." Hiyoko replies still having trouble tying her kimono. Sonia tries to help her. "Hiyoko I could help you if you would like. There's a full body mirror at the music venue! I could get it if yo-" she was interrupted and shoved out by Hiyoko. "No I can do this myself..." Hiyoko then locks the door. She continues to keep trying until she thought to herself, "Should I get the mirror?" She questions herself. "No Mahiru taught me this so I can do it!".
After lots of trying she finally did it. She finally managed to tie the sash. "I...I did it..." she says excitedly. She was tired after all that so she decided to go to bed. However little did she know was a terrible crime was taking place.
