"Deku-kun!" a bubbly voice shouted across the mountain of students. The green-haired freckled boy turned his head, facing the brown-haired girl meters away. His lips creeped up into a smile as he raced towards her, being careful not to trigger his power.

"Uraraka-san! You were really great out there, you know! You've really improved your zero-gravity abilities. That combined with Asui-san's capable tong—"

"Thanks, Deku! but I—well I actually called you over to ask you a favor," Uraraka interjected, leaving Izuku with a puzzled look on his face. She fiddled with her thumbs nervously until she finally mustered up the courage to continue.

"Do you think that you can keep your costume on for a little longer?" she asked.

"Sure!—I mean, why do you ask?" Midoriya responded, flustered by the request. He fiddled with his hair nervously, a tint of pink rising on the flesh of his cheeks.

"It's necessary for what I need from you. I know it's a lot to ask and you probably don't want to do it because I'm a girl and all but I really need this training for future reference, ya know? I would understand if you—"

"Uraraka-san, hold on. Because you're a girl? W-what exactly are you asking me to—"

"I want you to fight me," she finally spat out. It took a minute for Midoriya to finally process her request, thereafter his facial expressions showed a variety of emotions, most of all surprised.

"Hu—HUH?!" He managed to get out underneath all of his nervous blubbering. "I don't know if I can do that! I mean, you're my friend, Uraraka! I can't possibly fight you with all my strength knowing that! I know you've grown a lot and all but I don't have a full grasp of my power yet! you might get seriously hur—ow!" he felt a hard nudge of someone else's shoulder hit his.

"Tch, you're such a fuckin' lame. Fight her like the man she is, asshole. Honestly, she's doin' you a favor," an irritated Bakugou hissed. He walked away to go to the locker room, never giving Midoriya a glance.

"Kacchan..." Midoriya muttered under his breath. He faced Uraraka this time, now realizing from all the blabbering that he might have been hurting her feelings.

"Uraraka-san, I—"

"It's okay, Deku. I knew it was a dumb thing to ask. Don't worry about it," she said before he could even finish. She looked up at his green eyes with a smile, a feeling a sadness behind it that Midoriya could clearly see. She turned around and started walking towards the girl's locker room, a feeling of gloom reached him with every step she took.

I can't possibly fight Uraraka-san in this state! But I don't want her think she can't fight someone like me! But she's my friend! Of course I don't want to hurt her! But she's also grown so much since I first met her! Of course she would want to test her skills out on me! I don't think I can even go all-out! I might unleash something else, like that black whip on her! She might never talk to me again! You think she will after you basically told her no?!

Midoriya stopped his train of thought and stared at the girl who inching farther and farther away from him. It was clear what he needed to do, he was just making excuses as for why he shouldn't. He clenched both his teeth and his fists together, shaking at the words he was about to shout at the girl.

"URARAKA-SAN! I WILL FIGHT YOU!" He screamed, gaining the attention of all of his classmates and teachers combined. Uraraka stopped in her tracks and turned to face a shaking Midoriya. Her sunken smile transformed into a determined one, and she laid her hand out turned it into a thumbs up, nodding her head in response. She signed the number four with her hand, insinuating that they would meet up at four to duel. He nodded his head in response, then blushed wildly when he realized everyone was looking at him.
