Reality struck Ahsoka like a hammer. Awakening from a startling nightmare was certainly not pleasant, especially when it's been going on for weeks..
Ahsoka sat up and rubbed her eyes. She was in her shared quarters with both her and her master, who remained asleep.
As quiet as she could, she got to her feet and checked the clock.
2:13 AM
Great...barely 4 hours of sleep..
The Togruta gently tip-toed into the miniature kitchen that had somehow managed to fit inside her quarters. Perhaps a snack would help her...
She forgot about that thought for a moment as she sat down at the table, head in her hands. It was easy to tell when she hadn't slept, because she usually gets an attitude, as well as the dark circles under her eyes.
Tired and trembling, she forgot about the snack idea and decided to try to fall back asleep, which seemed impossible.
As soon as she stood up, a familiar voice stopped her in her tracks. She looked up to face her master.
"Ahsoka?" He asked. "What are you up so early?"
The padawan attempted to come up with an excuse, but none were good enough to suffice. "Sorry, Master...I just couldn't sleep.." She replied.
It was half the truth, to say the least.
Anakin glared at her and crossed his arms. "I know your lying, Ahsoka. Somewhat, at least."
Ahsoka looked at him. She couldn't tell him could she? What if she was just...crazy? What if it was just her imagination?

She sighed. She couldn't lie to her master.
"I had a nightmare.." she muttered.
Anakin's arms lowered back to his side as he motioned her to follow him. She complied, and followed him back to her bed, where they both sat down.
"What was it about?" Anakin asked. His voice was soft.
Ahsoka sighed and twiddled her fingers in nervousness. She didn't answer for a few moments, but Anakin remained patient. He understood she probably needed time to become comfortable.
"It was about you," She finally replied, gaze drifting to the ground.
Anakin put his hand on her shoulder. "Can you describe it?"
Ahsoka's breath hitched, but she nodded hesitantly.
"You-" she swallowed thickly, a silent sob escaping her throat. "You died.."
Anakin looked at her for a few moments. His expression turned to one of sorrow as he pulled Ahsoka, who had now began to sob uncontrollably, into his arms. He could presume it was from the overwhelming fear and confusion she had felt during the particular nightmare. He guessed this was the reason she had been tired during training and missions during the past week. It explained a lot.
"Snips? You know nothing like that will happen to me. I won't let it. It's just a dream.." He rubbed his padawan's back soothingly. Ahsoka continued to hiccup between sobs, burying her face into Anakin's shoulder.
"I k-k-know..m-master.." Ahsoka spoke with great difficulty, her eyes filled with tears. They slipped passed and rolled down her cheek, it was only then that she seemed to relax, mainly from the exhaustion of pouring everything she was feeling out into the world.
"I'm sorry..." Ahsoka muttered tiredly, looking up at Anakin with a pleading look that he's never seen from her before.
He shook his head slowly. "No. You have nothing to be sorry for, Snips."
It was only a few seconds later that he heard Ahsoka yawn, and then collapse against him, likely having fallen asleep.
He smiled and picked her up carefully, lying her on her bed and tucking the blanket over her. Chances are, she'd be wracked by another nightmare, but he'd help her, and plus, she needed rest.
