It’s now twenty years later and the man and the now grown ape make their way through town. The ape speaks to his master but he’s told to quiet down. Apes no longer speak, for they have become the slaves now and the keepers to humans. The last two humans to speak was this very ape’s parents. It was believed that he died but no one knows the babies were switched. He is the legacy of what is left of talking apes, apes with a true purpose. He sees how apes are now treated and realizes it’s time for change.

There is commotion amongst the steps of a building. An ape is being beaten. Seeing this, the talking ape yells out “Inhuman bastards!”. The officers confront the man asking him if his ape talked, he says no. More commotion takes place and the ape makes a run for it. The man and the ape are separated and the man is questioned. The ape is then sold into slavery and bought by the head govt. official. The humans figure out that he’s highly intelligent and allow him to pick his own name, he chooses the name he already goes by, Caesar.

Caesar, now amongst his own kind is treated as a slave,  pets to humans. They have him and other apes perform menial tasks and are subjected to beatings or public humiliation if they disobey. Caesar see’s this mistreatment and decides something needs to be done. He then stages for he and his fellow apes to cause mischief by changing tasks that are asked of them. The humans realize something is amiss and soon screen the apes thinking the talking one is still alive. When it’s Caesar’s turn they shock him, when he speaks they kill him, or so it seems.

Caesar gets up from the chair and kills a man within. He then decides to lead a revolt against the humans. He gathers apes and gorilla’s alike and becomes their leader. He arms them with weapons and tells them it’s time for them to live the way they should live, as they were meant to and not as slaves. The apes begin attacking people and taking out buildings. Taking back what’s rightfully there’s, they are tired of being treated like their nothing. Soon he leads hundreds of apes to attack the govt building where he confronts his former owner, enraged.

The apes have become more vicious and soon begin taking out the govt. officials. One is moved to safety however as he has proven to be one of only a few who care for the apes well being. The men are outnumbered and are either killed or seriously wounded. Caesar then speaks to the head advisor now shocked and stunned. He then speaks to all his fellow apes and any remaining human, proclaiming, the time of suffering is over and it’s time for a new dawn, a new era. It’s time for the rise of the planet of the apes.
