I stormed into my father's office, flinging the door open with a bang. It smashed into the wall, its handle leaving a dent in the wood. I crossed my arms and glared at him impatiently.

“What’s wrong, Emma?” My father asked wearily, without looking up from his computer screen.

“I can’t do this anymore.” I stated.

“What’s wrong now?”

“Everything!” I said exasperatedly. “First, Joann-”

“You mean Jessica.” He corrected.

“Yes. Whatever. Jessica, is a complete bi-”

Emma.” He warned. I rolled my eyes.

“She’s insane! I can’t stand her! She’s horrible!”

“How so?” He asked boredly, still looking at his computer.

“All day she’s been giving me these ridiculous jobs, and I don’t know what the hell I’m doing! It’s just- It’s too hard.”

I threw myself down in a chair, exhaling in frustration.

“I’m done. I can’t do this anymore.” I moaned. “I give up.”

My father sighed, slowly taking off his glasses and setting them on his desk.

“Emma, you’ve only been here 45 minutes, love.” He said, chuckling a little bit.

I looked at the clock, stunned. Is that all it’s been?

Great. It’s been 45 minutes out of three months and I’ve already lost my mind.

I was at A.Y.D. headquarters in London, and it was in complete chaos. The tour officially started in three days. Today was the day where everyone met to go over the plans and make last minute adjustments.

My new boss, Jessica, was already getting on my nerves. From the moment she looked me up and down with her beady little eyes it was obvious she didn’t like me. She practically follows me everywhere, no matter how many times I try to lose her. I have a feeling it's because she doesn't trust me. Needless to say, we don't get along.

“Look, Emma.” My father said, “It’ll get better once you get into the swing of things. Just be patient okay? At least try?”

He looked up at me pleadingly.

“Remember, this is your chance. You can really turn your life around, Emma. Don’t give up yet.”

“Okay.” I repressed the urge to roll my eyes. I stood up and shuffled toward the door.

“Wait, Emma? Before you go- could you do me a favor and bring those to Jim?” My father asked, nodding to a large stack of posters by the door. “Just ask around, you should be able to find him.”

I nodded, giving him a fake smile as I picked up the pile.

“Thank you.” He said smiling back.

I stepped out of the office and glanced down at the first poster on the stack he had given me. The five all too familiar faces of One Direction beamed up at me. I looked back at them in wonder. It struck me then how little I knew about them. Of course I had heard of them- they were literally everywhere-but I had never really been a fan. It was weird to know that I was going to be working on a concert tour for five people I knew nothing about.

What I did know, however, was that they were a big deal. The whole building was swarming with tour management workers. Security was at every entrance to the building. Girls had been lining the streets outside since four in the morning based on the rumor that they would be here.
