Yoongi turned his head to the door when he heard a small knock sound through his living room. Quickly he wiped the tears off his face and paused the romcom that he was watching, the shorty made sure to pull on the t-shirt he'd left on the armrest of his couch before padding barefoot to where the commotion came from.Upon swinging the door open, Yoongi pulled a confused face at the empty air in front of him but when he looked down he found himself holding eye contact with a toddler. "Daddy!" the child squealed and rammed into his legs hugging them with a vice like grip. Carefully the adult peeled the hugger off him then squatted down to reach his height. "Hi there little one, where are your parents?" When the toddler shrugged at him and beamed an almost blinding smile Yoongi hesitantly returned one and scanned the halls expecting to see a panicked parent but saw no one.
Sighing, the mint haired boy led the youngster into his apartment and tried to get answers from him. The most he got was his name, "I Hoseokie, and you daddy." Yoongi then found himself walking down the street with Hoseok skipping along beside him humming, one of his Anpanman blankets tied around his shoulders. The two with contrasting heights, arrived at the police station soon after and Hobi's eyes were widened at the automatic slidey doors while the older cooed at him.
Yoongi had been standing at the counter for almost an hour trying to explain his situation to the policewoman behind it. "I'm telling you, he appeared out of nowhere." The officer looked at him with half lidded eyes that screamed 'I want to go home I'm on the last hour of my shift' but he refused to let this go unsolved. Meanwhile behind them Hoseok was running in and out of the police station somehow still fascinated with the automated doors that made a satisfying 'swoosh' sound every time they opened and shut. "Yah, Hoseok come over here." the toddler's head snapped towards him upon hearing his name.
"Tell the nice lady how old you are." The mint haired boy was surprised he hadn't found that out himself. "I is tree yeaws old." the boy exclaimed proudly, showing four fingers, his forehead didn't even come close to the top of the counter which made Yoongi grin fondly. The policewoman shook her head shortly after typing rapidly into her desktop, "No Hoseok comes up in that age range, at all. Sorry sir but could you come back later and my coworker could assist you?" she took a breathe, "Or, you could leave him here and we could sort it out." Yoongi felt guilty for even considering her offer upon glancing at the toddler's puppy eyes and little pout.
That's how the two boys were left, kicked out of the only place that could help them. A buzzing jolted the older out of his daze, 'Jin hyung' was the name that popped up on his phone. Yoongi accepted the call and Jin was immediately speaking, clearly confused. "Yoongi, there's a three-year-old at my door who's calling me dad. What do I do?" Speechless the 26-year-old looked down, almost as if he was checking that Hoseok was still standing with him. The younger smiled innocently, as if he sensed Yoongi's gaze on him, but then his phone started vibrating again. "Hold on hyung, Tae's calling me." Yoongi winced at the threats spewing from his speaker before picking up his phone again.
"YOONGI HYUNG, THERE'S TWO KIDS CHASING ME AND CALLING ME DADDY HELP." The mint boy instinctually pulled the phone away from his ear before he was deafened. "Tae calm down and text Jin, meet me at my apartment we have things we need to discuss."
Thirty minutes later, Yoongi had Hoseok sat on the sofa watching whatever little kids watch nowadays. Jin was the first to arrive and after yanking Yoongi's ears for hanging up on him he gestured with wide eyes towards the child hiding behind his legs. The mint haired boy craned his neck to get a good look and was surprised to see a little head with faded purple hair to be staring right back at him. The toddler's eyes seemed to zero in on Hoseok's small form curled up on a couch cushion and in a flash he was past Yoongi and standing in front of him. A series of weird sounds spilled past his lips and the strange thing was, Hoseok nodded as if he understood then responded with his own. The two elders looked at each other simultaneously then entered the kitchen.
Tae, Jin and Yoongi were sat in the kitchen, Tae swinging his legs on a counter, Jin in a seat and Yoongi on the table, legs crossed carefully. The four toddlers were similarly cross-legged on the carpet in a circle blinking at each other. While the adults conversed, well argued, the kids began to introduce themselves. Hoseok gave them one of his signature smiles and they all awkwardly waved back, he had assigned them their own names until they told him their real ones. Smarty, Mochi and bunny boy finally spoke up, "I'm namjoon." "I'm Jimin", bunny boy simply stood up and performed an ostentatious example of aegyo screeching, "I'm Jungkook."
Namjoon put out a hand in an attempted handshake, all three boys ogled the extended limb then Hoseok placed a flat hand on top of it gently making Joon throw him a pleased grin. "Less go 'splore." Hoseok stated, the others nodded and toddled after him unsurely. The children found themselves in a room with a large desk and padded swivel chair and papers scattered everywhere, Namjoom inspected a small device with a block-like structure and glaring screen. Acting like he knew what it was he exclaimed, "Look Kook, Min, Hobi! I found food." Clamoring around him for a bite, they snatched it from him eliciting a scowl from Joon and Jimin was the first to grab a firm hold on it with his chubby fingers. The toddler brought it up to his mouth and took an enormous chunk of it into his mouth, only realizing it wasn't edible after it didn't break off in his mouth. He opened his mouth once again, but this time to let out a wail but Kook covered the sound with his hand and whispered. "No, Minnie, listen." A tiny voice came from the 'food' now playing, expensive girl the monotone voice stated.
The three men were still debating on what to do with the children when seductive music came blaring from the recording room, moans were entangled with the explicit lyrics and they froze. Yoongi was the first to leap up from his position on the table and hurry to the room where he found the three toddlers at his computer, eyes glued to the graphic scene and his suspiciously wet iPod was left discarded on the floor. Jin and Taehyung were close behind him and sent death glares to the shorter boy who was flapping around trying to remove the video from the screen but instead accidentally increasing the volume.
Yoongi was in the middle of a long chewing out by Jin when Hoseok ran up to them and stood in front of the mint haired boy hands and legs spread like a starfish, "Don't be mean to daddy!" he screeched. Careful to keep his expression neutral, Yoongi lifted the boy onto his hip and responded, "Yeah, don't be mean to his daddy." Jin's face slowly but surely turned red as he tried to keep himself from erupting.
