Yoongi awoke to cold fingers patting his cheek and a whispered "Daddy." Rubbing his bleary eyes, the older sat up to see a snivelling Hoseok peeping over his mattress. "Hey, hey, what's wrong?" concern filling his voice, Yoongi allowed the little one to clamber in with him. Sat cross legged, the toddler blubbered to the adult about his bad dream; cooing Yoongi was quick to comfort the boy, paternal instincts that he didn't know existed resurfacing rapidly.
Soon later the child was bundled back up in the small pillow fort Yoongi had crafted with plenty of blankets and cushions which resided in the living room. Glancing at the time, the mint-haired boy sighed upon realising it was around 6 am and took to his recording room deciding to watch some videos on YouTube. He was jolted awake once again but by Taehyung who looked completely knackered, blood shot eyes holding very little emotion. Jin was in the kitchen concocting a drool worthy meal, the sizzle of onions music to the boys' ears.
Hoseok was sat right up close to the television set, nose inches from the screen with his breath fogging it slightly; entranced by the dancer's intricate routines. Namjoon, Jungkook and Jimin were playing a confusing game of Uno, slapping down cards at random and yelling "Checkmate!" every two seconds. Hoseok got to his feet, swaying as he gained his balance and started to copy the dancers. This caught Jimin's attention who came up behind Hobi and bopped along with him, the two toddlers joined hands and bounced in a circle, giggling uncontrollably and 'dancing' hazardously close to the coffee table. Jimin and Hoseok were captivated with a single complex move that involved a person being lifted into the air and balanced with one arm above their head.
Mere minutes later Hobi was perched on a counter, pouting with a worried Yoongi hovering over him pressing a bag of frozen peas to his forehead. And a crying Jimin had to have multiple small cuts disinfected by Tae who had an anxious look fixed on his face. Joon, Kook and Jin watched the following scene with sympathy and in the end they all sat down to enjoy some gyeranmari.
A few months later
Hoseok had been in Yoongi's care for so long that he felt like his actual son. And that day they would be celebrating the four toddlers' birthdays, well, they didn't necessarily know the actual date; but it was the day they had all appeared at their doorsteps.
Hobi was roused from his race car bed by the mint-haired boy who had a gummy smile plastered on his features. "Happy birthday Hoseokie!" he squealed grabbing the younger boy in a tight hold. The birthday boy beamed and leapt out of bed small feet padding to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Yoongi's head snapped to the door upon hearing a knock, praying he wouldn't receive another unexpected companion. Stood there was Jin, a look like thunder on his face. Hoseok came running back with clean teeth and fresh breath, however, this time Yoongi noticed a tall lanky figure behind him. "We need to talk." Jin stated through a clenched jaw, he stepped to the side to reveal a man with a face Yoongi recognised but everything else he came up with a blank.
The four were sat in the living room, the mystery man stood on the other side of the coffee table, arms folded. Yoongi held Hobi tight to his body until the he spoke up, "I'm Namjoon, you probably remember me as a three-year-old child, but we've come here with a mission." Yoongi threw him a dirty look, about to interrupt when Hoseok clambered off his lap. "Is it really the time Joon? Now?" he looked torn between something, but Yoongi only processed the fact that for the first time Hobi had spoken a full, almost, legible sentence. Joon just observed the boy with knowingly, then the toddler sighed and looked down. Slowly but surely, his figure grew in size until he was almost as tall as the other male, Yoongi gaped at the now adult Hoseok, his mouth slightly opened.
