1 DAY UNTIL THE PARTY....
Kyle hated being teased. It was why he was always an introvert. His only 'friends' were plush versions of the animatronics his dad made.
Just yesterday (tWo DaYs UnTiL tHe PaRtY), his big brother and his friends 'accidentally' locked him in the Parts and Service room. It was terrifying. Seeing those disembodied animatronic heads..and those endo-skeletons. Those..those were the most creepy. They didn't look anything like the animatronics he loved, yet..it technically was part of the animatronics. Those eyes on them..they were so loose, they just moments away from falling apart. And no matter where he looked, they kept following him.
The entire endo-skeleton itself..well, it almost looked like it was twitching, trying to move towards him. It was an entire two hours before his dad opened it and found him. Kyle had been lying on the floor, shuddering, sobbing, and his dad had been so shocked, so angry, so scared.
Somehow, all Michael got was a measly one-day grounding. Which meant Michael would still be coming to Kyle's birthday party tomorrow..and Kyle didn't think it was going to be good.
Michael lay on his bed. He was grounded after locking Kyle into the Parts and Service room, but it was only today. Just today, he thought, just today I'll be grounded. Tomorrow, I'll be fine. He kind of felt bad for his little brother, but Kyle was probably fine. He held out his hand to open his desk drawer and take out his phone, but then he remembered, his dad had locked it. Michael had no entertainment except for his sketchbook, an old radio his dad gifted him (which probably didn't work anymore), and a few books.
He groaned. He barely had anything to do, and he wasn't allowed to come out of his room until dinner (he already had lunch). "I guess I could practice my drawing a bit," Michael said aloud. He grabbed his sketchbook and flipped through the pages. He cringed looking at his old drawings. They were kind of funny though, maybe even a bit wholesome.
He picked up a sharp pencil and an eraser and said with a determined look, "Alright, lets see if my drawing skills have improved."
At Dinner..
Michael sat down. His day hadn't been that productive, but everything worked out fine. Hopefully his brother was ok. Dad eyed him suspiciously. "So..have you learned your lesson?" he asked. "Yep," Michael said without making eye contact and dug into his food. "Well..?" dad said, apparently wanting to know what it was. Michael looked up and said, "Oh, uh..don't prank little brothers..?"
Dad stared at Michael, then went back to eating. I guess that answer was good enough for him, Michael thought.
As mom cleared the dishes, Michael decided he definitely needed to go to bed. He was so tired, and it was very late anyway. As he walked down the stairs next to Kyle, he thought, Y'know, that kid has been through enough, I should apologize.
"Hey, Kyle," Michael said as Kyle opened the door to his room. "Uh, what?" Kyle asked. "I'm..sorry I've been teasing you lately, uh, I'll try to stop," Michael said as sincerely as he could. Kyle must have accepted his apology, as Michael could see a small smile on Kyle's face.
Not again..Kyle thought as he woke up in the middle of the night. He had yet again been woken up by a growling outside his door.
Can't they just leave me alone?!, Kyle thought frustratingly, Those stupid nightmares..hallucinations..how much longer will they have to torture me?
He grabbed his flashlight and was prepared to see a Nightmare Bonnie..definitely not a Nightmare Fredbear..
