Setting Idea

The road had multiple cracks in it but was covered with tar. It looked as if somebody had ripped a piece of paper into multiple pieces, then pieced it back together with blue tape.

(Writing this has given me some inspiration so I shall go on with whatever nonsense I think of).

The child wondered where they were going as she continued to follow aimlessly behind this strange hooded figure.

He then stopped abruptly, causing the small girl to ram into him. He turned around and scowled, revealing his pearly whites in the process.

"Listen little girl," he snapped, eyes piercing into the girl. "I want you to stick right next to me and don't you dare leave my side unless I tell you to, got it?"

The small girl nodded quickly as he turned around, continuing forward into a broken-down house. It was raised and didn't have any stairs to get up to it so they had to climb up to get to the door. She noticed that most houses were raised around this place. She remembered that her mother used to tell her it was because it floods easily in Louisiana.

Once they both were on the porch, the small child took in her surroundings, everything seemed to be made of wood, that was old and seemed to be rotten. She carefully followed the man into the house where two other people stood waiting.

"Finally here. Took you long enough," A woman with long, blonde hair said with her arms crossed, staring down at the girl.

"It doesn't matter how long it took, Victoria," A tall, muscly man said, also staring at the child. "Glad you actually listened and brought the child this time. How old is she?"

The man who brought her there then took off his hood, revealing spiky blue hair. "Her name is Zia and she's only seven, so don't get any ideas," He said, warning the man.

The girl named Zia sat and watched as they discussed something about a trade before the blue-haired man pushed her forward, towards the two strangers. She saw them exchange money, then watched as the man who took her away from the orphanage left the old house, closing the door, and leaving her with these two people.

"Well, Al. What do we do with this one?" The lady supposedly named Victoria spoke.

"I think we should put her with the others in her age group," Al responded, leading little Zia into a room with a bunch of other girls that looked her age, who were dressed in maid outfits. "Put this on, brat!" The man shouted while throwing Zia an outfit that matched the one the other girls were wearing.

Zia took a look around at the other girls, who all stared back at her in silence.

Suddenly one with brown, bouncy curls got up from a mattress and said, "Welcome to hell. You must be the new slave they were talking about. I'm Lola. I can help you change into your uniform."

Zia stood there in shock, surprised to hear the girl curse. She wasn't used to it because her mother never allowed anybody to curse around her daughter. Zia quickly ignored it and followed the girl into a door off to the side that led into a small bathroom.

Once Lola finished helping Zia change, Zia looked at herself in the mirror. Her jet black hair was a mess and her eyes had bags under them from sleepless nights. Zia felt like her sleep schedule wasn't going to get any better. She then walked back out to see the lady standing at the door.

"Lola, show the new brat around. Al and I are going out, this place better be as fucking spotless as it can be when we get back!"

Lola showed Zia around and told her the names of the two people so Zia wouldn't forget. "The woman you saw earlier is Victoria and the man is Al. They are in control, remember that."

After Lola showed her around and told her everything, Zia sighed and looked to the ground. She felt her life was going to be very different from now on.

Okay, I know this is really bad but I'm just going to continue writing this story. This is going to be like a backstory/introduction and I will create it's own book for it. That might happen often if I write something in this that I kinda like. It will make sense throughout it I guess, I don't know.
