As I stepped out of the automatic glass doors of the hotel, the scent of freshly cooked sweet goods hit my senses like sports car at full speed, along with the sharp disorientating aura of Tokyo at night. To my left was a long road with a colossal zebra crossing engulfed by large flashing billboards. Surrounding it were the high rise buildings standing there ever so humbly. Naturally, I was taking aback by this scene as Tokyo at night hits different than it did earlier today.

Standing there was truly an out of body experience, all my previous dreams of this place came flooding back, however this time with a vengeance. I started to walk up the long street taking in every detail of the mesmerising setting I was in. I honestly didn't even know where I was going, but my mind and body seemed to be ever so gracefully guiding me to my destination. As I was admiring the scene, a rather interesting café captured my eye, so I made my way there. The doors were golden, shimmering with glee as I strutted through them. I walked up the grand staircase in front of me up to the first floor of the café. The atmosphere was beautifully hectic as everyone seemed to be smiling and never before have I experienced anything like it. I sat down and ordered a coconut milk latte. I took a window seat, taking every chance I could to admire everything.

As I took my first sip of the beautifully balanced latte I had previously ordered, I saw a figure approach me. She was short, but incredibly beautiful. Her cheeks adopted a subtle red nuance matching her light red lipstick. She was wearing dark red pleated trousers with a cropped black top that hugged her body in the right places. I thought to myself, 'why can't I look like that' before she turned to me and exclaimed with a rather excited tone "Hey! I'm Sakura. Me and my friends saw you walk in and order in Japanese although you look like you've never been here before so we all assumed you're a foreigner. If you need any new friends to show you this magic city, then don't hesitated to ask."

I grinned widely as I internally contemplated the rather intriguing offer being served to me. I thought to myself, once again, 'why not'?

"Sure" I exclaimed enthusiastically "My friends have actually left me to go drinking, so having a few new friends to show me around would be cool..."

"Awesome! Would you like to come and sit with us?"

"U-Uh yeah, that sounds good" I said hesitantly with a smile plastered on my face.

"Follow me!" She said with a delighted expression graced upon her lips.

I got up, grabbed my coffee and followed the girl across the dark brown floor boards until she stopped suddenly at a table with four three other girls sitting and laughing.

"H-Hi, u-uh my name is Soojin, and I'm from Seoul, visiting here on vacation."

"Awh you're so cute! Why are you so nervous?" Exclaimed one girl with dark red hair with an endearing expression.

"It's just I've never been here, the scenery outside is enough to take my words away, but meeting new friends already is so nerve-racking!" I said without stuttering this time.

"We understand" said a blonde girl with a gentle smile. "Take a seat, Himari get her a drink."

As I sat down, another girl rose with a slightly annoyed expression but regardless still did what the blonde girl said. Hmm, I'm already sensing the relationship dynamics here.

"So, let us introduce ourselves, the quiet one is Akari, that grumpy girl getting you a drink Is Hamari, you've already met Sakura, and I'm Yuki, the mom of the group of sorts."

"Cool, nice to meet you all" I said with a forced smile on my face, as I felt unwelcome by some members of the group.

As the hours passed, I became more and more tipsy, as the girls kept giving me cocktails, to which I couldn't refuse, and quite frankly didn't want to. All of the other girls I was initially skeptical about warmed up to me too as they learned more about me and my friends, whom I described in great detail. It was honestly going so great, my heart was beating and I was making new friends in the process. After around two hours, one of the girls made a suggestion.

"Why don't we go to Roppongi?" Himari exclaimed as if her idea was the smartest suggestion ever.

"What's Roppongi?" I laughed as the name was unintentionally funny to me.

"Ahh, I forgot you were new. Roppongi is a district here in Tokyo famous for its crazy good clubs, you'll have a night you'll never forget. I promise!" Himari said.

"Uh, I don't know, It's getting la-" I said being cut off by Sakura

"Please come! I promise we'll take good care of you and plus there's always loads of hot guys there"

I didn't want to let the girls down, so I reluctantly agreed and pushed all of the hesitation in that moment to the back of my head.

"O-Okay, I'll come" I said before hearing a roaring cheer from the girls.

I still wasn't sure where this night was taking me, and I know for sure that my friends wouldn't be happy with me, but maybe being this spontaneous will pay off?
