The wind was surrounding me, making sounds as if it were calling my name. "Niall, come play with us." It was here where I felt most safe. When I need to get away from it all. I was running, more like sprinting, with my eyes wide open. To get the full effect, you had to be moving fast. The trees were flashing past me. The air was almost too much, but the best part was the leaves. The leaves leaving the trees. Slowly. Drifting. Falling. Until they reach the bottom. I stopped running when a leaf blew into my face. I grabbed it and studied it. I started giggling like a school boy at my discovery. I don't know. I really don't. Something about fall makes me so happy. Like I could float away.. like one of the leaves. Suddenly, I heard thudding footsteps coming from behind me. I didn't have to turn around to know who it was. I felt a hand slip into mine as I looked straight forward to the trees. "I knew I'd find you here," his voice whispered huskily in my ear. I turned my head slightly to look at Liam. By the way he looked, I could tell he was in a trance also. The magic was getting to him. His eyes widened as he marveled at the sight. Even though we come here all the time, we react the same each time. "Why is that I can't be happy like this all the time?" The words came rattling out of my mouth without warning. I felt Liam sigh. We didn't know. We really didn't. Then the best part came: the wind picked up and so did the fallen leaves on the ground. Liam and I stood there, in the middle of the whirlwind. Laves whipped past my face. Some sharp, but I couldn't feel the pain since I was too busy noticing the beauty. The beauty was looking at the leaves and was just as moved as I was. He smiled and looked at me. He leaned in and placed his lips on mine. "I love you." It wasn't us. This wasn't who we were, but the woods transformed us into someone no one would guess. They didn;t understand why these times are when it matters the most. They don't know. They really don't.
