"Throne," she sighed as she walked into his class. Layla's hair was wilder than it always is, curls and baby hairs popping out of her bun on top of her head. He turned around from the board only a few steps in front of her. Throne smiled, his eyes gleaming and short as always while being perfectly styled.
He started across the distance between them, grabbing hold of Layla's face in his big hands. Smiled as she looked at the hands that held her up. It seemed like everything was going too slow as he leaned in and Layla finished it, connecting her lips to his. Every second was spent well, only to be thrown down the drain.
The door swung open with a click of a phone taking a photo. Layla turned around looking at Shay standing there. She stood with her eyes wide open, phone stuck to her hand as she invaded on a private moment. Layla saw the small gap behind Shay for Layla to escape through which seemed to lead nowhere. She pushed past the brunette with the phone, leaving her in there with Throne.

I jumped up in bed, a gasp coming between my lips. My hands went all over, my collarbones exposed from the tank top I slept in and to my legs covered by my three blankets, yes three.
I couldn't catch my breath as I leaned over to my phone, seeing the time. I had an hour until school started. Since I showered last night, I brushed my teeth and took my hair down from the braids they were in, putting it into a puff on top of my head. Getting dressed I wore a crop top I hadn't worn in years saying "may not be winter time but maybe I'm a present," on it and black leggings with Nike shoes. I had gotten much taller since I last worn this shirt so it was slightly shorter than what it should've been but it was fine with me.
My heart was honestly racing after that dream. Why would I kiss him? I couldn't care less about the Shay part, but I was so happy to see him, like normally. But what would it be like to kiss him, in all his perfect glory?

I sat in my car in the parking lot waiting for Sev to tell me she was here. Someone knocked on my window and I was met with Shay's face, rolling my eyes while facing the other way. I unlocked the door and started to open it without warning her. She slightly tripped but caught herself but Sev looked at me weird. I didn't even notice her there.
"So, where've you been," Shay smiled. Sev snorted and we all started to walk. "Mr. Stewart's room," she laughed. I rolled my eyes and opened the door. "Not just his room, I changed my schedule so I have half days but leave at lunch," I explain to her.
Wait, what the fuck was I saying! Why not get her annoyed, she'll leave. "I mean most of the time I'm with him," I started, making Sev snort to herself but only I could hear since Shay wasn't near her. "It's fun to hang out but really, I'm not there every day," my words were slow and deliberate while I watched her face get more and more red.
Shay nodded slowly, "Yeah yeah. I get it," and she turned the corner as we went up the stairs almost as if she didn't want to. Sev busted out laughing, red slightly tinted her tanned cheeks. We entered Mr. Stewart's room; I opened the closed door nearly as if I ran the room. I was just pissed.
"What got into you, or who? You're all territorial now," she said. Mr. Stewart was at the front of the room as we went to the back. He immediately looked back at us upon hearing what Sev said.
I leaned really close to her and started talking, my elbows on my knees and she soon followed suit. I told her about the dream I had and she kept nodding, Mr. Stewart nowhere near us. "You know you like him now," she asked me. My face scrunched up in confusion.
"What are you talking about? I never liked him," I say. My emotions were genuinely everywhere and she probably noticed and tried keeping me calm.
"Honey, you liked him. I know you it's just that you didn't realize until you realized that someone else did too. What are you going to do," she asked me.
I was scared honestly. I couldn't like a teacher, there was nothing right with it. I looked at his perfect face that was slightly facing me. Mr. Stewart looked up finally and waved... I looked back down, ignoring him. I knew exactly what I was going to do.
"I don't know Sev."
