You laughed as Vox walked you back to your apartment. You two were joking and just having small conversations here and there. Vox stopped at your building, taking your hand and kissing your knuckles. "Here you are, kitten, I hope the plans are up to your desires?"

You stared and gave a small curtsey, smirking, "Of course, Mr. Vox. I appreciate you taking the time to talk to me about it." He smirked and reached, gently scratching behind your ear. You purred and felt your face turn hot. He snickered and kept scratching.

"Your company is much appreciated," he hummed quietly. You stared, your eyes blinking as he started walking away. You turned to your building before stopping, your ears flicking as you turned back around. You flicked your ears, smiling as you looked around. You were being watched and whoever it was couldn't be seen. You tapped your claws together and started back into the apartment. You jumped as soon as Katie slammed her hand on the wall.

"So," she sang. "How'd it go?" You stared at her and slumped your shoulders with a sigh as she stared at you excitedly. "I'm asking because you look extremely happy." You gave a small laugh, walking past her towards the stairs.

"Of course I'm happy," you hummed. "I just had a full meal paid for by an Overlord. Who wouldn't be happy?" She laughed and followed you, her hips popping as they swayed.

"Good. I have something to tell you though," she hummed. You stared at her, one of your eyes twitching.

"If you're going to try and ruin my day," you warned. She held her hands up with a smirk and shook her head.

"You have a stalker," she laughed. "I'm not the one trying to ruin your day." You stared at her and hit your forehead, whining.

"I don't want it," you whined. She laughed and stared up at the stairs, the smile turning down.

"You need an upgrade," she groaned. You rolled your eyes and started up the stairs as she followed. "I broke up with Jerry. He turned out to be such a fat ass." You snickered and looked over at her.

"Finally curbed that waste," you snickered. She huffed and rolled her eyes at me this time.

"Yes. I curbed him. Don't start with your schtick," she growled. You started laughing, putting a hand to your mouth. She glared and caught up, pinching one of your ears. "The only reason I put up with your old ass is that you're cute, got it?"

You flicked your ear and giggled, "Aw, someone's had a bad day! How does a bit of coffee sound?" She narrowed her eyes at you, pouting and looking away as you came up to your floor.

"If there's rum, I'm in," she muttered. You laughed and opened the door for her, walking in and towards the kitchen.

"So what the kids call an Irish coffee," you asked. She sat at the counter after locking the door and nodding. You started up the coffee maker, digging around your kitchen before shivering a bit. "Ugh, I can feel his eyes on me."

"That isn't an Irish coffee, old woman," Katie huffed and stared out the window, "Your place is shit but the view is pretty." You looked up and smiled a bit.

"Yeah, it is," you nodded. "I have to give up one for the other." You pulled a mug out and dropped in the rum, setting it down and going for the coffee. Katie took the mug and drank it, setting it down before you could fill it. "Katie," you growled, "Stop it."

You rolled over in the pillow that you had made your bed. It was large and stuffed enough to hug you whenever you fell into it. The soft, red velvet of the fabric was covered in shed fur and you scowled as you rubbed the fur on your arm. Small tufts flew out and you growled, "Damn it." Something shifted in the pillow and you perked up, staring at Katie who was wrecked. You sighed and stood up slowly, walking to the kitchen to get her a hangover cure.

You jumped a bit when you walked out, quickly hiding behind your door and your face a dark red. Vox looked up, sipping at tea with two other cups at the table. He grinned and waved, "Good morning, kitten!"

"What are you, what are you doing here, Mr. Vox," you smiled and tilted your head a bit.

"Well, one of my boys found someone watching your place. I came to see if you were all right," he hummed. He motioned to the cups and grinned. "Would you like something to drink?" You shut the door and quickly pulled a robe on, walking out and towards the cups. Vox stared and raised his eyebrow as you looked into them. "They both are recipes form my mother for hangovers. I assume you drank last night in celebration?" You looked over to the counter he motioned to, rubbing your head at the two empty bottles.

"Sorry, Mr. Vox, that was all my friend," you chuckled dryly. He nodded a bit and one of his eyes got larger than the other.

"So, did you know you were being followed," he asked. You sighed and sat down, sipping from the cup and a shiver going down your spine. It was good and you were glad you didn't have to make the cure for Katie later.

"I did. I got the feeling right after you left and Katie so kindly mentioned it to me last night," you nodded. He chuckled and tapped his cup. "I have a question for you Mr. Vox."

"And what is that kitten?"

"Are you this kind to all your employees or is there something else you'd like," you stared at him with no hint to any emotion. He was showing an uncanny resemblance to someone who wanted more. Men hadn't changed in that sense. They always showed up and tried to be part of your life if they wanted more. He stared at you and chuckled, drumming his fingers on the table.

"Is it wrong if I might," he asked. You looked off to the side, your face heating up. That was something you hadn't heard. You half expected him to deny it or bring up the potential profit you would bring him.

"Well," you hummed, "I like a man that just says what he wants if that helps you. Of course, the same rules to courting apply but I hate having to read into everyday life around acting." Both of his eyes widened as he took in what you said, a laugh coming from his chest as his head went back.

"Oh, kitten," he chuckled after a while of laughing, "You are the bold type."

"That's a nice way of putting it," you sighed. You looked out the window a bit and smiled as you turned back to Vox. "I don't believe we've had the pleasure of introducing ourselves outside of work."

He clapped his hands a bit, his screen brightening a bit, "We haven't, have we?" He stood up and walked over, taking one of your hands and placing your knuckles to the screen of his head. It felt like lips were there before he pulled his head up to look at you. "Hello, beautiful," he chuckled, "My name is Vox."

You couldn't stop the giggling that erupted from your chest, "Hello Vox, my name is (Y/N). It's very nice to meet you." There was a cough from the door and you looked over at Katie who was taking in Vox and you. She quickly turned back into the room, cursing and slamming the door. Vox stayed quiet as you laughed quietly. She had looked like a mess and that almost always impeccable makeup was a mess.

"Well, I hope I wasn't interrupting anything," Vox chuckled dryly. You laughed and shook your head, sipping at your tea.

"No, we were just in recovery and I wouldn't let her go home last night," you hummed. "She'll be fine, I have extra makeup so she doesn't lose her mind." You giggled at the incomprehensible yelling from your room. Vox chuckled and shook his head.

"You seem to be doing well," he nodded. He finished his cup and stood up, straightening his coat. You stood and smiled at him, your cheeks a bit pink.

"Let me walk you out," you giggled. He chuckled and shook his head, taking your hand and giving it a small squeeze before excusing himself. Moments later Katie came from your room, her hair fixed and she had her makeup done.

She stared at you with wide eyes, "What was that?"

"What? He wanted to come to check on me," you smirked. Her teeth gritted and she walked over, pinching your ears and pulling them a bit.

"You sly cat," she cried out. You laughed and motioned to the cup on the table.

"He made that for you," you hummed. "He thought we were both hungover because someone likes their rum." You gave her a pointed look and her neck cracked as she put her head to the side dramatically.
