You couldn't believe what you were looking at or what had happened. Katie was only grinning down at you, Tom next to her with excitement radiating from his mask. You flinched as Katie gave the sound of disbelief and grabbed your shoulders. "You're lying," she yelled. You shivered and smiled sheepishly at her, unable to formulate your thoughts properly.

"I didn't think you would find out this quickly," you laughed nervously. You scolded yourself quietly at the statement, the white pupils getting smaller as Katie glared.

"He practically claimed you," she cried. "And that's all you have to say?" You rubbed your face as she threw her hands up, her spine popping when her hip flared out. You rubbed the fur down, sighing quietly before looking to Tom pleadingly. All he did was raise his hands in surrender and shake his head.

"It shouldn't have spread that quickly," you whined.

"Someone took a picture of you two in your dressing room," Katie grabbed your hands, the extra arms threatening to tear her maroon-colored dress. You stared at the recently discarded magazine with you and Vox on the cover, groaning quietly to yourself.

"We were having a moment," you muttered.

"A moment? Do you know what this could do to your reputation? To that whole 'I'm staying low because I don't want power' facade you play at," she fumed. She was a good friend but this was turning into a sitcom with her outbursts.

"Killjoy, kitten," you whined, "You're blowing this out of proportion."

"I'm doing exactly what our field, the media, is going to do with this information," she interjected. You puffed your cheeks out, pouting slightly at her as she started pacing and making her fingers pop in a rhythmic noise. "They're going to eat this up! They're going to bombard you with so many questions! You're still such a fledgling with relationships too! Do you even realize what's going to happen to you?" You couldn't help but smile softly, sitting on the couch in your living room.

"It won't be too bad. Maybe it's what I need," you sighed quietly. She stopped walking a path in your carpet, surprise crossing her face. Tom even jerked up and stared at you, rubbing the glass of his portholes.

"What you need," she asked. She flopped down next to you, crossing her legs and staring hard at you. You sighed, patting the other side of you for Tom to sit in.

"Yes. Maybe I should make my debut as an overlord," You trailed off to a whisper as you reached the word overlord. It was still a heavy thing for you to think of, to even comprehend. It must have been Vox's stature alone that was influencing you to finally think seriously about it. You couldn't tell; the whole title still held regions you weren't sure you wanted to partake in.

Katie stared over at Tom, her eyes narrowing before she gazed back at you, "Are you even capable of it, old woman?" You playfully glared at her and chuckled, pulling your knees up to your chest.

"I still feel like a teenager, Katie," you laughed. "I'm sure I can do it."

"Is this an official thing," Tom suddenly asked. You stared at him and took a breath, slowly nodding to the two. Katie jumped up and slammed her fist into her palm.

"All right then! You need to debut then," she cried. You stared at her and jumped when she started laughing. "You need territory! You need minions!" You watched as she started going off, her excitement animating her motions even more. You stood up, chuckling softly at her as you made your way to the kitchen to make coffee and tea. You pulled out the rum, bouncing a bit as you made the mix she always loved and thought about Vox. He was too much on your mind lately and honestly, you didn't mind it.
