He broke his heart

"I'm so glad my favorite couple could come celebrate Christmas morning with us too!" Hoseok said cheerfully pulling Jin and Jungkook into a hug.

"Hey! I thought we were your favorite couple!" Jimin shouted from the driveway.

Hoseok's eyes widen "He tells that to everyone now come in your letting the cold weather in." Yoongi answers wrapping his arms around Hoseok who smiled lovingly at him.

"You really saved us there hyung." Namjoon said after walking in. "I know, knowing your husband he would be talking about it all month long." Namjoon laughed nodding.

It was mid afternoon when they finally got to opening the gifts. Yoongi had gifted Hoseok the limited edition designer luggage that went with their Hawaii plane tickets.

Hoseok gifted Yoongi a computer gadget that he had been wanting for a long time but never bought it because of the outrageous price.  

Namjoon gifted Jimin the newest game council but also had already gifted him his dream car before they had gotten to the Min's.

Jimin gifted Namjoon an expensive leather wallet since he had somehow managed to destroy his previous one and a box he was not allowed to open till they got home. To which Yoongi scowled them.

When it came time Jungkook felt nervous but excited to see the reaction Jin would have.

"Okay so open the bigger one first and then the second one and lastly the envelope." Jungkook instructed smiling handing the gifts in order.

Jin opened the first box which was a limited edition LV scarf, the second small box was a Cartier love ring.

Lastly he opened the envelope which was a card where Jungkook wrote he had paid off all his studies.

Jin didn't show much reaction but Jungkook took it as a sign that he was in shock.

"Alright let's set up for dinner!" Hoseok said wanting to break the awkward moment. Jimin got up and walked over to help.

Yoongi signaled Jungkook to get up and follow him to his office.

"What's up hyung?" Jungkook asked confused.

"Jungkook what's going on?" Yoongi asked crossing his arms over his chest sitting down on his office chair. Jungkook looked at him with raised brows "What do you mean?"

"I mean what's going on between you and Jin? You both clearly are going through something I can see it with my own two eyes."

"I don't know what your talking about hyung."

"Jungkook, I'm serious. I can see from how distant Jin has been with you from the moment you both got here."

Jungkook sighed sadly before finally sitting down.

"Remember how I told you I was working overtime for a few weeks in order to get my promotion?"

Yoongi nodded

"Well I would get home late and Jin would be asleep but then and in the morning I left before he would get up so it's like I didn't see him. I told him about my work schedule but he told me he didn't like it and we kinda got into an argument about it. Then when we see each other he tells me about the chores I never do and that's another argument. I blame myself hyung, I haven't been a good husband and now he's upset and that's what I deserv-"

"Stop." Yoongi interrupted the younger in front of him. "Listen jungkook, I know about everything. Firstly because I can see it and second of all because Jin tells everything to Hoseok and Hoseok tells me everything."

"It's not your fault Jungkook."

"It is"

"No it's not. Jungkook take a second and step out of your heart and see how Jin treats you." Yoongi said sternly.

Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows "He's just upset and has every right to do-"

"Jungkook!" Yoongi raised his voice before running his hand through his hair in frustration.

"Listen to yourself! You can't even see how he treats you but you can only defend him. It's not healthy Jungkook you need to talk to Jin because both of you are not in the same page heck you're not even in the same book right now."

Jungkook frowned looking down not wanting to accept reality.

"We need to talk."

"Can we talk?"

Both Jin and Jungkook looked at each other as they both nodded before sitting down on the couch.

"Listen Jungkook about what happened on Christmas-"

"It's okay baby you don't have to worry about anything I-"

"Jungkook please listen to me." Jin asked almost pleading with his eyes.

"That day I realized something, something about us. Jungkook remember when we met in college and we would go on late night drives? When we got married? That time when we traveled? I do. But I think that we don't have that anymore. Most importantly we're not even together most of the time anymore. I feel like we could even be strangers at the most acquaintances. You seem to prefer your job over me. Jimin even said that I've been giving you a hard time with everything around the house.

Jungkook I've thought about this over and over and I feel that we have fallen out of love. And I want you to live your life but I want love Jungkook and I don't want to hurt you. I feel like it's time to go our separate ways."

Jungkook felt his heart ache and he felt his body numb his chest rising up and down slowly.

"Baby I-I love-"

Jin stopped him mid sentence shaking his head. He slowly go up before walking to the bedroom and grabbing the made suitcase.

Jungkook stayed still as much as he wanted to get up and follow Jin he couldn't. His heart ached but it was telling him that this was for the best.

Jin walked out the house not daring looking back at the heartbroken Jungkook.
