The sun had already risen by the time Jin was walking through the apartment door and climbing the stairs to the loft bedroom. His Brielle lay up there, in the bed, sleeping still.
She had the blanket pulled up to her underarms and she lay on her left side, hair spilling over the pillow with her hand resting between her shoulder and chin. She looked so peaceful, so innocent, goosebumps raised over the flesh of her arms.
She may have been covered up, but Jin knew that she lay beneath the blanket completely nude.
He crossed the room and threw open the curtains, allowing the sunlight to filter in through the stained glass of the window, casting brilliant hues of color around the inside. He went back to the bed and knelt beside her sleeping frame, brushing his hand across her hair, placing a chaste kiss upon her temple.
Brielle lifted her head, eyes adjusting to the bright sunlight, and looked at Jin. Her eyes were heavily lidded and watched him with a 'come hither' gaze.
"I hope you like sunflowers," Jin said, looking the happiest Brielle had ever seen him.
Smiling she buried her face in the small bouquet of yellow petaled flowers. He knew she loved them, yet still thought she might be upset that he got them. Jin was the sweetest man alive. "I love sunflowers. You know that," she said, the smile still upon her face and in her heart.
Jin smiled briefly before looking Brielle over hungrily. "Why? Why do you love sunflowers?" He moved to sit beside her as she sat up in the bed. She leaned her head against his shoulder as he asked her that question.
Lifting her head up again, Brielle answered him. "Because I always thought that-" she lay her head back upon Jin's shoulder "-when God was making beautiful things, he messed up with sunflowers."
Twirling the bouquet in his hand, Jin asked, "How?" He intently studied the beautiful flowers he held in his grasp.
Reaching for a flower, Brielle said, "Well, because they look like - I don't know - they look like crooked teeth around a mouth that's too big... Kind of."
"Yeah." Jin stuck the bouquet in his own face and took a big whiff of the fragrant blooms.
"But, just when he was about to start over, he realized that's what made them beautiful. They were a brilliant mistake." They sat in silence for a few moments studying the flowers.
"Like you and me." Jin suddenly had a profound sadness take root inside his heart.
Leaning up, Brielle captured his mouth and kissed him. He returned the kiss fervently, as if he felt what they had together slipping through his fingers. He felt something big coming, closing in on them, like the way it feels when clouds move in, just before a frightful storm blows in.
Dropping the blanket, Brielle turned and sat upon Jin's lap, straddling his hips with her thighs and began to undo the buttons on his shirt. He trailed kisses down her throat and, when his shirt was on the floor beside the bed, he lightly skimmed his hands up the length of her back and over her shoulders, kissing down the center of her chest. He gently took a nipple into his mouth, teeth grazing the soft flesh and suckled at it before relinquishing it for the other one.
She moaned and shivered as Jin made her feel things no man ever had before. Fumbling with the button and zipper of Jin's slacks, Brielle finally, finally had gotten them undone and began to pull at them. He lifted his hips so that, together, they could slide them down and off of body.
Once the offending fabric of Jin's clothing was removed, Brielle took hold of the hard, velvety soft length of him and sank to her knees in front of him, between his legs. Watching him as she lowered her head, she took him into her mouth and straight back into her throat. Jin groaned upon realizing that she had no gag reflex.
