Kaidence's p.o.v.

Today is the day where I get to meet my new foster parents. Am I excited? No. Why would I be? I'm a broken and miserable boy with too many problems that cant be solved. Nobody wants me better yet, no one will love me. And that's okay, because not even I love myself. I'm also ready to accept the fact that I'm going to be on my own once I turn eighteen. If I make it that far.

I was currently in the car with my social worker, Annie. I have to admit, she was nicer than all my other ones I have had over the past years and is able to handle my shit. That's also because she's not afraid to put me in my place. She's been by my side for almost three years now. I'm not a fan of trusting anybody but if I had to, she'd be the one. Annie tries her best to put me in a foster home that has a good environment.

As she turned down a street she told me that we were almost there. The neighborhood was nice and clean. The houses were huge, the grass was cut perfectly and a bright green color. There were some kids playing out in front with each other, they were running around, avoiding one of the older boys and giggling. They were most likely playing a game of tag.

Great, I'm in a neighborhood full of spoiled bitches.

Once the car stopped in front of a huge looking chateau house, which was nice. Annie looked at me. "Alright, Kaidence. I'm expecting you to be on your best behaviour and please try to be social." She sighed. She's always telling to me to be social since that's normally the number one reason why my past foster parents got rid of me.

I shrugged and went to open the car door, quickly getting out and moving to the back so I can retrieve my suitcase and my bag. I heard Annie's car door close and in seconds she was beside me, brushing her red hair out of her face. "I'm serious, Kaidence." She scowled. Ignoring her, I turned around and dragged my feet to the brown wooden door.

When Annie reached and stood beside me, she looked down at me and sighed. She rang the doorbell and we stood there waiting for a few seconds before a young blonde woman opened the door. She had a huge grin on her skinny pale face that reached her blue eyes.

"Please, come in!" She opened the door fully and took a step back, allowing us in then closed the door. "I'm so glad I finally get to meet you, Kaidence." She smiled warmly at me while I took my shoes off. I rolled my eyes and gripped the handle of my suitcase. I hate this.

The woman didn't seem to get affected by the way I "responded" to her since she still had a grin on her face. "Follow me." Once she turned around, Annie shook her head at me with a glare. Rolling my eyes again, I looked around while still following them.

The place was huge and very nice on the inside. There were pictures of all kind hanging on the walls, which were painted a soft brown. As we walked by the living room, I saw that there were white couches with a flat screen tv hanging on the wall. There were a few plants around the room that gave a warm feel to the environent. The glass table in the middle had magazinges and a phone laying on top. There was also a huge window with white drapes that allowed us to see the nice view outside.

The wooden floor creaked as we made our way into the modern looking kitchen. I pulled out a chair and looked down at my hands after I sat down. I mentally groaned hoping this conversation would go by quickly. The young woman smiled at us while she pulled a plate of cookies off the island and setting it down on the table, gesturing us to have some if we wanted. After she settled down as well, Annie spoke up.

"Kaidence, this is Mrs. Coarlie Avenue. You will be staying with her." I rolled my eyes. No shit. "As I told you before she has a son named Xavier and you will be going to the same school as him starting tomorrow." I mentally groaned.
