In the few days of being in jail his brain had kind of opened in a sort of way, fear was what captivated him the most, those few days with the nightmares of Nigel asking him why he killed him when he didn't.
He was afraid now, of who was at that door but fear wasn't going to stop him from going through that torture again. He'd rather go with the Grim Reaper guy, he needed to remember his life.
He eyed the cream colored walls before him, his chest rising and falling repeatedly, his eyes then fell on the hood he tossed unto the living room couch. He was definitely screwed. His mind raced quicker than a second, without much of a affirmative thought he drops the duffel bag and rushes for the hood, right on cue the door opened.
"Who are you?" asked a voice.
The voice made his heart jump not in fear but in glee, one that he'd thought he wouldn't hear ever again. His back was to the person. He slowly turns around meeting two people instead of one. Hayden and Phoebe
"Rider?" The two chorused meeting his eyes.
He couldn't even begin to say anything, Hayden had already grabbed him in a bone crushing bear hug. Words filled his head but he faltered at every chance to speak out instead settling for silent sobs into his brother's shoulder.
"It's okay. It's okay." Hayden whispered to him, while patting his shoulder. His eyes burned but he fought the urge to cry.
The two brothers soon separated from the other, Rider sniffed wiping his eyes.
"I never thought, that I'd see you two again." He sniffed.
"How did you get out?" asked Hayden.
"Yeah did they let you go?" Phoebe inquired.
"Er...." He trails off.
The three share a glance.
"You broke out?" Hayden and Phoebe exclaimed."Yes..I mean no, no, I mean-."
"Explain then." Said Phoebe.
"I don't have time, I have to go, right now." Grim reaper was probably waiting for him, probably handling one of his shiny daggers in his hand.
"But you just got here." Says Hayden.
"That doesn't mean I can stay."
"He's right Hayden. He's a fugitive now." Phoebe agreed.
"But where are you going to go?"
"Anywhere. Anywhere but here."
"Well if you're going." She pauses sharing a glance with Hayden. "We're coming with you."
"Come again." Rider looks at her puzzled.
"You heard me, it's not something we can explain right now." She informed him with the littlest she could, talking about it would make the thought of her so called hunter resurface and that one thing sent multiple shivers up and down her spine.
"What's she talking about?" Rider turns to Hayden.
"The absolute crazy." Hayden replies. "I'll go pack. Phoebe you should too."
"Sure. Where do I meet you?"
"Hey, guys-" Rider tries interrupting.
"Bleachers." Hayden replies ignoring Rider.
"You ca-"
"Got it." Phoebe exists the room, her footsteps could be heard stomping down the stairs in a hurry.
"Why are you doing this?" asked Rider.
"To protect you and anyone else sane."
"You need to stay here with Mo-Your mother."
