Ayato felt Y/n's hand twitch. He looked up and Y/n's eyes opened. With tear filled wide eyes, Ayato gathered Y/n in a tight hug.
"I thought you would never wake up." Ayato whisper in the crook of Y/n's neck
Author's POV
After you woke up, you worked things with Ayato. Him and Hinami broke up and you guys started dating. You healed up after a month or 2, and found out Touka was pregnant! You were beyond excited! Then Ichika Kaneki was born. Ayato then proposed to you after 3 years of dating! You guys had a grand wedding.
~4 years later~
Kaneki was sitting on the couch, reading a book to Ichika. Then, knock on the door interrupted Touka, who was cooking.
"Hey Ayato and Y/n! Come in!"
"Hey Touka!" Ichkia saw you, ran up to you, and hugged you.
"Hi pretty auntie!"
"Hey sweetheart!"
"Hey, are you just going to say 'hi' to your Auntie?" Ayato raised an eye-brow
"Hi Uncle Aya!" Ichika said and ran up to Ayato to hug him.
After that another knock at the door was heard.
"Hey everyone! Come in!" Touka said to Hide, Eto, Nishiki, Kimi, and Yomo.(And probably a lot more other characters)
~After the greeting~
"AHH!" Ichika screamed
"The monster is going to get me!" She ran in to your arms and you picked her up
"I'll save you princess!" You told her as she latched onto you.
"I'm going to get you!" Ayato shouted as came crawling down the hall, chasing after the poor little girl.
"AHHH!!!" Ichika screamed into your ear and held onto you tighter.
"Monster stop!" You shouted and surprisingly Ayato did, crisscross sitting(?) right at the tip of your toes.
"Okay, let's go sit down at the couch." You said as you faced Ichika.
"But the monster!" She said in her sweet little voice.
"He won't get you, I promise." You said softy as you stick out your pinky finger. She lightly sighed and made a promise with you. Walking to the couch, sitting the little girl in your lap still holding onto her, Ayato following you guys shortly. After awhile, Ichika fell asleep on your lap. Then Kimi said,
"Y/n and Ayato, Have you guys ever thought of having kids of your own?" You and Ayato looked at eachother with slightly widen eyes.
"Ummm, yes we have, and we do want to have kids, but we're not sure if we're quite ready yet."
"You guys are ready! You love Ichika, I can see the adoration and happiness in your eyes. The both of you seem very prepared and experienced. I can tell you guys are going to be amazing parents!" You looked at Ayato again and smiled,
"Maybe we'll start a family soon." You told Kimi.
~Time Skip~
"Okay everyone, we are going to head out." You said before you hugged everyone that was still there.
"Okay! We'll see you guys next time!" You and Ayato both waved to everyone and left.
~At Home in Bed~
You were laying in Ayato's chest hugging him after he said,
"Maybe we should have a little kiddo running around." His head turned to you.
"How many do you want?" You questioned
"10." You smacked his chest and he chuckled.
"Just kidding, how about 2 or 3?"
"Sounds perfect." You said as you closed your eyes and smiled to yourself
"Thank you to returning to me, and being what we are now." Ayato said softly and sweetly.
