Top Alpha

The pack

   The day after her birthday, Emily's dad told the pack that she was the child that got the alpha mark. The pack was skeptical at first until she showed them. The pack started to whisper amongst themselves, Emily heard a "how can she lead us?" and an occasional "she's a weak girl, she'll collapse after a week of 'leading' the pack." She wanted to run and hide with her tail between her legs, but she knew she had to put a brave face to prove them all wrong.
     "After she finishes high school, Emily WILL be taking over in leading the pack. She is trained to fight and will keep training, she will also be taught how to deal with several problems that might come up, like disrespectful pack members." My father's voice broke through the crowd making everyone fall silent. My brothers by my side I felt more confident in taking the position of alpha.
      When my father had finished that, him, my brothers and I all went to the diner in town to get my birthday dinner like always. We ran into my friend Cam on the way out of the diner. Cam knows I'm the daughter of an alpha wolf, he is actually my beta. Me and him started talkng for a bit. We only stopped when someone came in and bumped into me.
       "Watch where you're going!" A Male voice called, it wasn't one if my brother's so I turned to see who it was. This guy who towered over me. He was maybe about 6'2'' and I'm only like 5'3'' so I had to look up a but.
       "Ggrrrrrr. Excuse me? YOU bumped into me you stupid mutt." I closed my jaw tight after I said that. I could smell that he was a wolf but I didn't mean to call him a mutt. He had this smell about him that drew me towards him.
      "What did you just call me shorty? I'll have you know I'm a purebred Alpha, and what are you an omega?" The smell got stronger. My wolf got excited 'Mate!' She called, I snapped back realizing what she meant.
       "I'm a purebred alpha as well, this is my beta, Cam. Nice to see my mate gas some fire in him. And a little hight so he can reach the top shelf." I laughed and started walking away when he grabbed me by the arm. Cam growled at him and he let go we walked out and I was smiling the whole time.
     "My names Scott by the way." He called as I was almost out the door
      "Emily." With saying that I left

Scott's POV

I was hungry from working out all day so I went to the dinner in the town that bordered mine and the next packs territory. When I reached the door I smelled something that made me happy. I didn't know what it was or why but my wolf sure loved it and wouldn't let me stay outside. I went in side and bumped into someone and I instinctively said
    "Watch where you're going!" I didn't know why but the sent was stronger now, and saying what I just did hurt me.
     "Ggrrrrrr. Excuse me? YOU bumped into me you stupid mutt." I heard a small female voice say. Her words hurt me so I just stood there for a minute unsure of what to say.
       "What did you just call me shorty? I'll have you know I'm a purebred Alpha, and what are you an omega?" My wolf whimper as the word fell out of my mouth. 'What is wrong with you right now?' I asked my wolf but he only whimpered even more.
         "I'm a purebred alpha as well, this is my beta, Cam. Nice to see my mate gas some fire in him. And a little hight so he can reach the top shelf." I flinched. 'S-she's our mate? Why didn't you say so sooner!? I wouldn't have snapped at her.' My wolf wasn't responding to me now. Of course he wasn't we snapped at or mate.
        She went to walk out the door so I grabbed her arm. Her beta, Cam, growled at me so I let go. She continued walking out the door so before she left left I called after her.
        "My names Scott by the way."
         "Emily." She called back and after that she left. My wolf came back in my ear 'YAY!! She talked to us. We caught her attention!'
'Yes I know but now, FOOD!!'
