BANG!!

it was the loudest ever Wooseok has heard when someone slapped their door. And it has been the fifth time in the day, something might irritate the mood of one of the youngest in their apartment. He shall not confront the latter until that young boy came to him first and apologize.

"Something off again?" He looked up and stared blankly at the cup collection on the cupboard. He shook his head.

"It's been like that, Yohan and Byungchan fight over the job offers soon after they came back from Vancouver. You should not sweat it."

Another male scooted himself closer to Wooseok, "it's been 50 years to not stay together with them."

"Well, we can't stay together forever, right Sejin?"

The latter nodded. Sometimes it's hard for them as a group of vampires that ditched from the clan just because of the old antics. The old rules that were bonded to not stay closer to others, just because they were special. So special, until they were kicked out from the clan. Except for Byungchan. Well, he was in the blacklist, waiting for the kick-out. But here they were staying and sticking together despite the complicated situation that intertwined them. Kicked out or not, they chose to be together.

"I told you I would make it work!"

"But I was joking thou!"

Sejin blinked his eyes. His headache was kicking whenever he heard two of them fought and shouting like that. Although he has been with them since 300 years ago, he still did not get used to it. He ran to Wooseok's room and lying on his bed, ignoring the gaze the owner gave to him. He needed a calm morning.

Wooseok chuckled. "C'mon, wake up, Sejin."

"No," he cried.

"Well, we can make them calm down if we go out."

The blanket dropped, he peeked. "Where?"

"IME cafe, what do you think?"

He sat, looking outside the window. "I'm afraid if we bump into the clan."

"They will ignore us, Sejin. It's just me with our brothers. No one shall come to us unless they want a warning from their own clan."

He looked down, "chin up," Wooseok cheered, "it's just a Kim Wooseok who is cursed one, you are not. Be brave. No one dares to come to my table unless they are human." A little smile from him encouraged Sejin to get up, try to calm the brothers and enjoy their family time. It has been a while, though.

He shall enjoy it.

No trouble would come, except the destiny played with them. Except what the Heaven played dirty upon them, the cursed blood-eater.

•••

Two pairs of eyes lurked around the cafe, checking everyone and having a hard time to control themselves because it was full of humans, like LITERALLY HUMAN and they smelled like blood. The youngest still had a hard time to not grab someone's neck and pierce their fangs into their flesh and sucked up the blood until they were satisfied. They exhaled roughly, really sounded angry about the surroundings. Wooseok and Sejin just laughed at them and passed it aside. They wanted to enjoy the day at the cafe.

"So why you bring us here?" His eyes told directly how uncomfortable he was, seeking for an answer but Wooseok just smiled at them innocently.

"...um, chicken feet? It's my favourite with Sejin here, besides they offer wine over the beers, c'mon easy guys. Your hunger will be fulfilled, don't worry?"

Yohan who seated beside Byungchan, nudging his arm, giggling, "he wants to test you out."

One of the elders smirked. "Well, kinda. You'll see what I say is true."

Both of the youngest exchanged gazes, suddenly their red eyes brightened and adrenaline sent a shiver to them. It sounded exciting and the youngest could not help themselves waiting for it.

Not until a familiar figure came into the cafe, the bell was ticking and Wooseok straightened up their sitting position, also being so alarming at the sight when the figure came sitting beside them. No words came from his lips, a brown envelope slipped above the table to Wooseok's hand.

He glanced, guardedly took a minute for arranging the words, "just--usual?"

The uninvited figure nodded.

"Jonghyun hyung..."

"....I'm sorry, Wooseok, but I can't bring you back to the village. I wish you steer clear of any possible thing in the near future. I don't want to lose any member in our clan anymore."

The youngest stayed quiet, so did Sejin. But one thing irked him.

"May I know the list?"

Wooseok nodded. He unfolded the envelope and read it. The numbers. The binary code, one thing he did not wish to decode in the middle of his quality time. He quickly took a look at Jonghyun but sadly the other male was quicker to disappear without notice before him.

Sejin sneaked, checking the letter but his headache swiftly made a move. He was dizzy to read the number.

Yohan and Byungchan also took a glance, suddenly rubbing their forehead. They were not raised for this task. But they were in deep thought soon after they have read the familiar sentences.

"Drei Personen, die Sie am meisten meiden müssen (zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit):"

"I think your clan needs to speak formally, without code, without foreign language and please--I can't even stand people speaking English to me," Byungchan protested.

Wooseok's face lightened up as he heard Byungchan's usual antics. He was just cute, Wooseok could not stand him for being so cute even though he was sulky over little things. He was effortlessly cute to his likings.

"How I wish the same one, little chan..." he said, sing-song-ly.

"So..." Sejin took the man's attention immediately. Turning at him, Wooseok had a thoughtful look and seemed to have a hard time.

"I can't tell you..." he retorted. It was difficult to explain to Sejin. He needed a day to arrange the words before making the latter be resentful over the list. He promised him to live a normal life as every vampire did, but the fate wronged them.

"I am sorry." He rose up from his seat afterwards, having a moment to himself, Sejin did not want to bother the fellow vampire. Not at the moment, Wooseok got out from another door, a beautiful creature that he quickly recognised coming through the main door, stepping closer to the cashier. The creature was smiling gorgeously and it took Sejin's eyes upon him.

Another vampire in the town. Sejin never met one like this, except his own cousin. The most powerful one on the waiting list to be the ruler of the throne.
