The End Cafe

1. In a new world

I felt something bright and hot on my eyes, definitely be the sunlight scattering on my face. But I remember I was just sleeping inside my room, on my cozy bed, right? All curtains are closed up, there shouldn't be sunlight in the room......

I moved my hand a bit, feeling something even more weird. Feels like grass, but more spiky.

Opening my eyes, I realized something else — a girl, with cat ears and a fluffy tail, looking at this way curiously. It looks like that she have been waiting for me to wait up.

"Oh, you're finally awake, creature!" She leans forward closer to me.

"C-creature?" I have way more questions than this but, for now, I just want to know why is the little girl calling me a creature. I am human m, 100% human from earth. She should be the one called a creature.

"Yeah, you don't seem to be any species that I know...... maybe you're one from the most mysterious species that nobody knows......" She started telling many more possibilities. "Aaaanyways, my name is Mochi and if you have nowhere to stay for the night, I don't mind keeping you in my place. We got a few empty rooms there."

Have to somehow tell her something about me...... if I just tell her that I don't belong to this, maybe this new world, she wouldn't believe me, since thats something only happens in comics.

She started leaving and heading out to a direction, and I wasn't moving at all, being focused on thinking an excuse.

"Hey Mochi......" I called her name. She turned around, looking at this way curiously. "I lost all my memories about this world...... the only thing I can remember is my name. So......" And I showed her an awkward weak smile.

"Oh is it? Then we must go see my friend. She probably will know something." With her soft hand held to mine, she dragged me over to somewhere.

"A...... cafe?"

Arriving at her place, I was surprised by the view. It's a small house, which seems to be a cafe with an open sigh on the door, and many people...... or creatures sitting inside there.

She opened the door, and another girl walked at us. Instead of having bright colors like Mochi, she has long black hair and black wings instead, with a gray and blue dress on her.

"Welcome back, Mochi." She bowed down to her. "Who this is person?"

"Hey hey I told you you don't need to do that every time I returned! Khmm...... and this is a creature that I found outside in the park. He doesn't look like any species...... so I decided to take him to you. Maybe you will know something."

She stood there for a few seconds and shook her head.

"Also, he told me that he lost his memories. Maybe we can keep him? And until he remembers everything? If we just let him go, he would have no way to survive without knowing anything about this world." Mochi asked.

The other girl thought for a bit. "We don't know who he is, and he could be lying to us. Maybe he wants to do something to us, and will do it once we let down our alerts. I disagree with this, for your safety."

"But I can prove I and innocent." I cut into the conversation, because I know this is my only chance of getting a place to spend over my first night in this world.

"Then prove." Suddenly, I felt fear from the black girl. I have no idea but, I just feel fear, from all over my body. I couldn't move or talk......

"If you cannot prove it, then leave us. I don't care about your plans, I only care about Mochi's life." She stared at me, with a terrifying look.

And then, Mochi knocked on the girl's head.

"Hey don't listen to her, I'm the owner of this place and I would like to know more from you!" She said with a very happy smile. "Here, I will take you to your room."
