3. You need a strategy

"Good morning, manager-san~"

I don't know how long I've slept, but the sun have not risen, and Mochi, the little cat girl is already waking me up.

"Ah...... w-what time is it......" I mumbled, still half asleep.

"It is 5 in the morning. We always wake up at this time to prepare for today's coffee materials." She said, in a very regular tune like if it happens every day. "You don't know, so I'll tell you. We're waking up this early to get ready to hunt some feenias. They're basically dragons, but with coffee beans growing on them, which is what we need to make coffee."

"Yamika is always ready to battle to death." Yamika also entered the room, saying something such scary with an emotionless tune.

"As our manager, you're job is to provide strategies to hunt down as much feenias in a short time, with nobody getting hurt." She rubbed my head. "Well, good luck on that~"

Leaving the protection of the cities, we have arrived at the place where feenias often appears, with our mask on and Yamika always ready to fight. I still got no idea what those feenias are, but I'll still try my best for the first battle.

For the first time, I saw how the world really is. Just flat ground of dirt and sand, a few blow of cold freezing wind and nothing else, not even an object in the wide open space.

"So as you see, this, is our world, and the world you are staying in."  She looked at the hopeless landscapes. "This planet, this world, is dead. And one day, every creature in this world will disappear into dust, and we will never know when and how."

Hearing that, I swallowed a mouthful of saliva. How do they say such things so normally?

Right when I am about to say something, a huge sound came from underground. Soon, a giant monster that doesn't look like anything popped right in front of us, roaring at us. The pressure is already making me wanting to leave.

"It's here." Yamika alerted, opening her wings wide.

"Okay...... before we actually do this, I need to know your abilities...... or else I cannot make s strategy at all." I asked.

"Well...... my abilities are more supportive. I mainly work on information gathering and healing. Besides that, I can control a little bit of water." She smiled. "Yamika is the main warrior here, which you will see soon how she takes down this feenia in no time."

She jumps up, flapping her wings for a boost and then spun in midair, shooting something towards the feenia. And then from what Mochi told me, it was feathers. I still don't believe how powerful she can make her own feathers, like —— it literally went through a skull.

One feenia down, making noises that made more feenias come from underground, to revenge for their friend.

"Wait...... so how powerful can her feathers be?" I asked, while running away with Mochi. Yamika is also following right behind. She can't handle such a number of feenias all at once.

"My feathers are strong enough to go through walls and metals without leaving anything else." Yamika answered emotionlessly.

"And feenias are pretty dumb creatures, am I right?"

"Monsters does not think. But what are you trying to do?"

I just got an idea to finish them all at once. Might be risky and might fail but, it's still worth to give it a try.
