Patton had been lying on his bed for over 20 minutes now. The thing he saw earlier was looping in his mind and he just couldn't get over it. Seeing Roman again, in that state, was utterly heartbreaking and frightening. 'What was it about?' was the question that kept repeating in his head, that and 'Why me... why Roman?'.
He eventually sat up and wiped his eyes with his sleeves, then reached over to his nightstand and grabbed his glasses, wiping the lens with the bottom of his shirt before putting them on again.
He exhaled as his chest felt tight, and held back more sobs. He decided to finally deflect his mind from what he saw, reaching over the side of his bed and dragging his laptop up onto the covers.

Back downstairs, in the living room, Virgil and Logan were still concerned.
Virgil glanced over at Logan, sitting at the other end of the couch, biting his bottom lip, as if he was holding back something.
"What's up?" He spoke up, scooting slightly closer to him.
Logan blinked, looking over at him with a confused look.
"You've been biting your lip ever since Patton left the room. What's on your mind?"
Logan sighed, "I've just been thinking about something that happened earlier."
Virgil glanced at him expectantly, waiting for him to continue.
Logan then shifted on the couch, now fully facing him. He stared at the couch for a minute, remembering.
"Ah, right. I was upstairs, in my room, and I had fallen asleep on my bed. When I woke up, I wasn't in my room anymore, I was somewhere else. The Mindpalace, perhaps?" He concentrated on his words, still looking down at the couch. Virgil was listening closely.
"I had woken up on the ground, and Roman was standing over me. I sat up and got a look at my surroundings and I didn't recognise the place at all. Everything was a little fuzzy and Roman seemed rushed, he wanted me to leave in a hurry."
"Wait, Roman was there? Why was he there?" That got Virgil's attention.
"I'm not sure but, the room looked cosy enough for someone to stay there for a while so, it could've been where he's been hiding the past months." He shrugged.
"Huh... that's weird a-and confusing. How did you even get there?"
"That's the thing I'm stuck on. I can't figure it out. None of the scenarios I've suggested make any logical sense, except for teleportation of some sort, or someone 'kidnapped' me and took me there on purpose."
"You weren't dreaming, were you? You said you'd fallen asleep, so."
Logan shook his head and brought a hand up to his forehead, obviously what had happened was frustrating him.
Virgil placed a hand on his shoulder, "We'll figure it out. It has to mean something, right?"
Logan just hummed in response, exhaling.

Roman paced around the room, biting his nail.
"Oh would you relax? It's not like we shoved someone into a blaring fire! (Although that would be fun.)" The voice said and you could hear him rolling his eyes as he spoke and murmured the last bit of the sentence to himself, quiet enough so Roman didn't hear.
"It is a big deal, though!"
"Everything's a big deal for you."
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Roman said, defensive. His shoulders tightening up as he stopped walking.
The voice just laughed, sounding like a maniac.
"Well! You're always making those weird hand gestures."
Roman gave an offended scoff, crossing his arms.
The tension in the room had been low for a while, until now. Roman had a question that had been bugging him for weeks, ever since the voice came into existence.
"Um.." He gulped, nervousness making his voice tremble. "Can I ask something?"
The sound of light chewing, then a swallow was heard before he spoke. "What?"
"Who exactly... are you? Why do you keep bothering me?"
"Bothering?" He scoffed. "You're one to talk!"
"Well if you won't tell me that then... what's your plan?"
The voice went quiet, as if he was thinking of a response.
"You mean, our plan?"
Roman blinked, suddenly stumbling backwards, as if something was trying to take control of him.
"Wh-What are you doing?! Stop it!" Roman shouted, trying to fight whatever force was trying to overtake him, but it was too strong, and eventually, it caved in on him.
Roman then laughed, that maniac laugh; the same one he did.

O H. M Y. G O O D N E S S. We are so so sorry for abandoning this story for so long!! Life just got really busy, and we couldn't keep up, plus we'd just fallen off this platform; aka Wattpad. We've been focusing on some side projects which we may end up posting here~
Hopefully this lit another fire under the plot's butt as it thickens once again!
Good luck Ally~Cat. Looking forward to see what you come up with!~
