The year is 1963, and Layton, luke, and emmy are all trying to hunt down the wild, michevious scientist and inventor Jean Descole. They havent seen him face to face since their grand confrontation on the island of Ambrosia, but they know hes been up to something. Layton's been getting a few weird letters from people in a small town, and though nothings been destroyed yet, but something bad is coming.

Right now the three are walking through a wide, scary cave that a series of puzzles led them to. Layton is also pretty sure that this is the way to the location Descole is hiding in.

"Professa!" Luke exclaims, staring at him with his wide, blue orbs and waking him from his thoughts. "I think I found another puzzle this might be the last one!"

"Calm down luke, just let me see it" The professor soothes.

"Yeah luke, just let him see it, little boy" Emmy teases. Luke sticks his tongue out at her.

Whenever he opens up the piece of paper Luke was pointing at, he gasps. It was a puzzle, and a super complicated one. Even the puzzle master, Hershel Layton, was stumped for a teeny bit.
Luke looked at him oddly and pondered, "Whats the matter, professa? It's just a puzzle."

Layton sighed and looked back to luke, "It is, but its a hard puzzle, I need a minute Luke."

You see, this puzzle was no ordinary puzzle, its clues were written in an old style of English, a way of speaking that went out of fashion like a hundred years ago. Once Layton got over his shock, it was actually kind of easy, but he couldn't help but think that this was some kind of clue on its own or something.

Emmy noticed his worry, and put her hand on his shoulder. "I think I know why you're worried, professor," she comforted, "but as long as Descole doesn't have a time machine, we shouldnt have to worry about it."

Hershel nodded and adjusted his hot, setting the completed puzzle back onto the cave wall. Yeah, she was right, and that was impossible, anyway.

The three of them kept moving through the cave, solving the same old english puzzles until eventually being met by large, black, cool antique but in a dungeon way doors.

"Heck yeah!" emmy yelled, "Im going to bust these babies down!" but Luke was already in front of her knocking on the door.

"You dont need to be so violent Emmy," Luke scolded, "we could probably just get in"

"Or he could have a trap," the professor added, "so caution is a good idea"

Emmy pouted at all of the responses, "Aww man, who knew you both would be such downers today?" She was right, that was kind of lame of them.

After Luke knocked, they heard the door creak really loudly and slaw it slowly creep open. A wolfs mouth was attached to the door handle, and opened it for them. The wolf dropped down and padded up to the trio to greet them, sniffing happily and then growling once it recognized the group.

The room was nice, but still very cave-y. Luxry rugs lined the floor and bookshelves lined the walls. candle shandeliers and salagmites hung from the ceiling together. It was like descole wanted to make the cave look nice but still liked the cave look so he left it a little grimey.

"Hey, easy there puppy! We're nice!" Luke shouted worridly, but the wolf still growled.

A deep and mysterious voice echoed through the room they had stepped into.

"Erik, heel, come over here and recieve a Milk bone for your troubles"

"Wuaah- Descole!!!!" Luke screamed. Sure enough, the voice was descoles, but they couldnt see him. He was deeper in the chamber of a room.

"Couldnt you come and get the door yourself, or get your butler guy to do it? Its silly to have the labor done by a dog." Luke sassed.

Descole's voice called out again "it's Raymond's day off and thats a wolf, you little swine." His shuffling could be heard across the grand chamber, but he was still nowhere in sight.

Emmys eyes narrowed and looked around the chamber suspciously. It was unlike him to finish speaking so quickly, usually he rambled on for paragraphs. They were definitely in some sort of trap.

Her suspishons were soon confirmed whenever all the lights in the room went out, and the cave started to rumble. Everything was shakking and a few bookshelves fell over. Layton was fully expecting to see the night sky hanging over them, but the floor they stood on suddenly starting moving down at a quick pace.

"Hang on, Luke!" the professor shouted. He knew emmy would probably be okay.

Descoles evil laughter soon became louder than the rumble, and there movement stopped. Lights lit up the room again, and the gang found themselves surrounded by bumpy cave walls an carpeted floors, their surroundings bare except for the odd machine in front of them and the smug man standing next to it. Mask, cape, boa, suit, pirate hat, converse dress shoes and all, that was Jean Descole. Though there wasnt any background music, the air felt thick with the croon of organs.

"I deeply apologize for the... unfufilling beginning to this little confrontation." Descole mocked, throwing his hand on top of the machine. "That truly wasn't my intention, but I suppose you were as eager to make progress in this little adventure we've been going on as I was"

"Waahh- Huhhh? What do you mean, descole?" Luke asked loudly.

"Let me finish" Descole snapped. "It should come as no surprise to me or you that I'm searching for azran treasures, and that you are remarkably good at finding them. This is very frustrating to them. Today, though, I'm going to prove that I can be successful. I was originally planning on doing this entirely alone, but there is a joy that comes with you watching me succeed. Im going back in time to find the treasures and bring them back, and you're going sit and watch me come back with the treasure."

"Which treasure are you even looking for, descole?" Layton asked, but descole did not answer, simply laughing and turning around, smacking his hands on the machine.

Emmy looked really frustrated, "This isnt gonna work, Descole! I'll throttle you before you get the chance!"

Descole laughed, "Throttle me? Please, you and everyone working with layton work under the same code of gentlemanly honor. You could never-"

Emmy walked to him, grabbed descole to the boa as he was bragging, and threw him to the ground. She immediately started to punch him, and the two ended up in a mess of a fistfight. Layton watched horryfied but luke looked kind of amazed.

"Emmy, waiiit!" Layton wailed. "We dont know what the machine could do!"

"Ill help you, Emmy!" Luke yelled, and ran over to the duo, but he tripped over Descole's cape, and fell into the machine.

"Luuuuuuuk!" the professor yelled.

It was too late, Luke's whole body fell into the machine and pressed like 7 buttons. Descole ripped himself away from Emmy's grasp and watched in horror as the room filled with a bright white light, clouding everyones vision and soon knocking them all unconchious.

Susato and Naruhodo were going on a nice walk the day their lives got turned upside down. They were rgabbing groceries for the dinner Iris was going to make, and enjoying there trip.

"I hope she enjoys the little bunny cut strawberries we picked up for her!" Susato cheered,
"Theyre very cute!"

Naurohodo chuckled, "I bet she will, Susato. There's no way she wouldnt, especially because they're a really sweet g- AUUGHH!!" His words got turned into a yell of pain as a pile of bodies collapsed on top of him.

"Naruhodo!!!!" Susato yelped, and turned to look at him but soon got confused. On top of naruhodo were four strangers she had never seen before. From top to bottom there was a little boy in blue, a charming, fierce lady in yellow, a gentleman in dark brown with a top hat, and another gentleman in an odd, cape-y pirate sort of ensomble. None of their clothes looked... normal, and all of their expressions looked pain.

As naruhodo wailed in agony, every single one of them started to awaken. Most of them seemed peaceful, but the man at the bottom of the stranger pile almost was... growling?

"You... have the audacity to... For the Third time..." He shoved himself up, knocking down the rest of the pile. "You are the most insufferable bunch of ignorant little- AAUUUUGGHHH"

Susato didn't know what he was on about, but she didnt like him. "Uhhh excuse me, is everything alright?"

The masked man's head whipped to turn and face Susato which caused his face to fall. "Oh no." He looked at Naruhodo on the ground and the buildings around them "...LAYTOOOOONNNNNN!" He stoped to the man in the top hat who was starting to sit up and raised a swung a sword at him which the top hat man dodged swiftly "NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU KEPT YOUR LITTLE ASSISTANTS IN CHECK!"

"Descole, could you please just calm down?" The man, probably Layton, asked tiredly and turned to Susato, "Pardon me, but could you tell me where we are, and what year it is?"

Susato tilted her head confuseddly, "Were in London, and its 1901, why?"

"ITS WHAAAAAT?" The little boy wailed loudly. Little did Susato know, that that sentence would soon change every single one of there lives (and a few extras) in ways they never could have seen coming.
