☆ Mikaelson Mansion, New Orleans ☆

Parking the car 30 meters away from the Mikaelson Mansion, Damon turned off the car engine and turned his gaze towards the people inside the car. They all looked at the residence,emotionless. Probably thinking what will happen to their pretty lives once they step a foot on the porch.

Will it be brutal? Or ...

"Okay, lets head out while i still got the confidence. " Caroline said, quickly stepping out of the car. Believe it or not, her undead heart is furiously beating inside his ribcage. This is crazy but it has to be done. She needs to get back inside that freakin' town and secure her Mom. Who knows what will happen without them,in there.

Looking at the mansion from afar,she cant help but think how would he react when he sees her standing on his doorstep. Would he shoo them away because they'll be constantly ruining his life with his daughter?

Snap out of it,Forbes. What did he tell you at your graduation?! Her subconscious said.

Darn, why does it even matter?!

Because you care. You're worried that he indeed moved on. Subconscious said again.

"Caroline,hellooo! Still in there?"

Snapping out from her thoughts, she slapped Damon's hand away from her face and held her chin high.

"Lets-- lets just go." Marching their way towards the mansion's pathway, they kept their senses awake preparing for any possibilities of danger. Once they were facing the door, they left Caroline standing on the front while they hid themselves by the sides of the door.

"Knock." Stefan said,in a low voice. This could be good,he thought. Knowing how much his former-bestfriend cares about Caroline, he purely believe that Klaus Mikaelson somehow stayed in love with her. No matter in what circumstances.

"Don't forget to not let me end up dead." Elena whispered.

Taking a huge amount of air, Caroline raised her fist and was about to knock the door when a pair of footsteps sounded behind them.

Looking back, they all sighed in relief when it was just Katherine Pierce. The Petrova fastened her pace and went to the side where Stefan and Bonnie are. Everyone was just looking at her, asking for somewhat an explanation.

Rolling her eyes, she gave them a sarcastic smile. "I was inside the town,you know. Afterwards, you know what happened. I followed you here and thought,why not join the fun?"

"You do know Klaus will kill you,once he sees you." Damon hissed, furrowing his eyebrows while pointing a finger at Katherine.

"Let's just say,both Elena and I are taking the same risk and our lives is all up to Vampire Barbie,here." Katherine answered,flashing a proud smile.

"What? You've got to be kidding me!" She fired in a low tone. She can handle one life,but not two. Specially not both doppelgangers.

"We're not." They all said in unison making Caroline let out an exasperated sigh and knocked on the door three times. Nothing came. She knocked again. But still nothing.

"I guess they're not here. Lets just find a hotel and come back tomorrow." Caroline said, she turned around and began to take a step when the doorbell dinged.

Looking back at the door, she saw Katherine pointing at the small button before tapping it again and went back to her position. Hearing the footsteps from inside the house, Caroline went back to her position.
