I was nearly home when I felt somebody behind me. I had started to cry about two minutes ago.
With blurry vision I looked at Kristoff, who was about ten meters away from me.
"What are you doing here, freak?" I hissed.
"To help clean you up," he sighed. His eyes seemed to have soften, but the anger fire was still there.
"Yeah?" I asked sarcasticly. "You want a penny, too?"
"Just come on," he said and took hold of my arm, which I quickly shook off. "Fine, if you want the whole town to see blood on your face, don't let me stop you."
My breath caught in my throat and Kristoff snorted and took hold of my arm again.
"And why should you help me?" I asked, but followed him anyway. "You watched as the started to rape me!"
"And I would have interfered if you really couldn't defend yourself. Come on."
As we entered the house, I saw my mothers purse was still missing. I scowled, but secretly, I was happy.
"You can be glad those men were a group of men that likes telling stories. No one would believe them they were attacked by a vampire."
"I'm not," I protested.
Kristoff led me to the bathroom. He mumbled something under his breath, that sounded very much like 'if you say so' and I yanked my arm out of his grip.
"Hey, if I say I am not a vampire, then I am not. If I was a vampire, I would have noticed it by then. The only reason I why I bit the son of a bitch was because adrenaline was taking a hold of me."
He looked like he was thinking about it and then shrugged. "There is that, but that doesn't explain why they guy you bit is dead."
"Must have been because he had a heart attack and, besides, vampires don't exsist."
Kristoff let out a loud laugh. "That is only what we want you to believe."
Freak, I thought at myself when he said 'we'."If vampires were real, they would have taken over the world already and there would have to be more then vampires out there."
"There is," he said and continued towards the bathroom. "Come on, before the blood starts to dry."
"Why are you doing this? You don't even like me."
"Your right. I don't like you," he said casually as he entered the bathroom. He took a wash cloth and dipped a partical in water and started cleaning the blood off.
"You're a bitch that thinks to much of yourself and sees others, like me, as something of a weakling. You'd probably say yes to your 'friends' when they over you drugs, just to fit in with them, meaning you are most defently feeble-minded."
"Fee-" I started, but Kristoff continued speaking.
"And the great reason why I am helping you, is because you need some who can who can guide you into vampirism."
"I am not a-" I started again.
"Most of us are born into it, so we learn to control at an early stage, while the turned has a month to learn control or the Council will yell 'off with their heads' and everyone would probably laugh at the joke, seeing as it is from Alice in Wonderland. There, all done."
"Good, then get the hell out of my house."
He let out a sigh. "You are really going to be difficult. So, reason why I was kind today is because the Council wants to see you on the fifth, which is in two days."
His blue eyes were scorching again. "Don't come, and you'll be dead in a three days, instead of a month."
With that, he turned around and was gone in seconds.
His unsaid words were 'I don't think you'll make it.'
But I not a vampire, I thought to myself. Because vampire don't exsist. Kris- uh, freak- was just trying to scare me. And I didn't kill that man, did I?God, where is Dan when I needed him?
Probably making out with one of those hot male angels of His, a voice in my head said. I had to laugh. Dan wouldn't mind that at all.I walked to my room, slightly tired of the evenings event.
As I walk into the room, first thing that caught my eyes was a single candle stood lid on the window sill. Secondly, my room was made up neat (which was impossible seeing as the only time I cleaned up my room was when friends are coming over) and thirdly, perfectly balanced, was an envelope on my dresser.
I walked towards the envelope and saw my name written even and curved.
Surprised I opened it and read what was inside:
Mona Evelyn Rhinestone, your presence is requisted on the fifth of November 2014 at midnight. Your escort, Kristoff Alexander Mcmaster, will guide you to the meeting. Fail to comply, drastic massures will be taken.
Sincerely,
Vampire CouncilPS: Dress formally.
Oh, crap! Was I really a vampire? When did that happen?
