A/N: This is my first story. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I have the whole story planned out in my head, but I didn't write it down yet. I hope the first chapter/part will be okay. If no one reads it and I feel the story is going nowhere, I'll end it. I'm pretty sure I'll want to finish it though, I feel the ending is going to be epic. But for now, I'm excited. I feel I've got this. Keep your fingers crossed for me. If anyone wants to make a cover pic for me, I'll love it. :) Have fun reading.
I inhale and dive, flipping and turning in midair. My goal, Oliver's Sports Academy, is my life. If I win the national annual swimming gala, it would sure win me a scholarship. Then, my life will be laid out neatly before me.
Perfect. I just need three more flips and a turn to boost the beauty. I climb up the ladder and gently bounce on the 5 meter high plank. I can do this one more time I whisper to myself.
Suddenly, out of my peripheral vision, I catch sight of a flashing light. I turn, and catch myself staring at a silver star shaped necklace. The chain swings dangerously at the tip of the owner's finger.
The necklace is beautiful. But the even more charming thing is the owner. His calm brown hair sticks out in a cute type of way and his wide chocolate eyes wander around the swimming lanes. It's a lifeguard. I say to myself.
I can't help but stare in awe when he stripped off his shirt. Abs line up neatly on his strong and firm stomach. His biceps flez and unflex as he swing the necklace on his finger.
I giggle like a love drunk girl and take a step forward to get a closer at his handsome face. Before I know it, my feet are no longer standing firmly on the diving plank. I drop into the pool, like an atom bomb. When my body hit the serene surface of the pool water, a piercing pain surges up my stomach. I drop deep into the pool and when I resurface, I still can't help but feel embarrassed.
What? An aspiring future Olympics diver falls face down into a pool? Unheard of. I bite my lips and look around, hoping no one caught that. I let out a sigh of relief when I see that the whole swim pool is full of ignorant and self involved people. When I spin around, my heart stops. He stands there, chuckling to himself.
The hot lifeguard is laughing at me!?! I start to panick and wade and splash around the pool like a drowning person.
Within a minute, I feel his warm arms wrap around me and lift me up. I feel his biceps flex on my back as he heads towards the medication center. This short walk feels like heaven.
I glance up shyly, and catches sight of the curl of his mouth at the corners. Cute. Cute. Cute. Why am I being lovesick? He's probably 10 years older than me, or else why would he be a life guard?
I am gently placed on to the mattress and he leans over as if to kiss me. Then I realize I probably look dead, with my eyes wide open and unblinking. No CPR, no CPR.
