Okay, hi guys. I know not many are reading this, but for those who are, I'll keep it short for you :) I know - trust me, I know - it's been pretty boring so far. I wasn't even planning on writing this. But after this chapter, things should heat up, if I continue.
ZAVIER IS MET IN THE NEXT CHAPTER. JUST SAYING.
Haha, that's all. Kay, thanks, BAAAAAAI :D
Recap;
“Should of known,” he growled out, sending me a filthy look. Charlie, on the other hand, looked halfway proud. As Jay stormed off in front of us, she pulled me to a stop, leaning in to whisper under her breath.
“Look, I know this is wrong, but I’m going to help you. You're not going to be able to get away, no matter how hard you try, but you can make Zavier wish he never found you in the first place. It’s not much, but it might still help.”
I felt my eyes widen.
"Yes," I nodded, tears still in my eyes. "Yes, I'll do anything."
Just for the record, the picture (if it works) is how I envision "midnight-coloured" eyes ------>
Chapter Three:
“Hey,” Charlie whispered, shaking my shoulder gently. I cleared my throat slightly and cracked open my eyes, only to see her twisted around in her seat, one of her long, slender arms reaching back to nudge me awake. I hadn’t really been asleep, just resting my eyes – although that wasn’t for a lack of trying. Every time I’d start to slip away, Zavier’s voice would replay in my mind and before I knew it, my heart was lurching with fear and I was sitting bolt upright again.
“We’re almost there, chicka,” Charlie sent me a small smile.
“Oh,” I murmured, nodding my head. “Okay.”
“Get yourself ready, alright? You want to look as good as you can,” she raised her eyebrows pointedly, sending Jay a sideways glance to make sure he hadn’t seen the gesture.
Although Charlie had promised to help me, it wasn’t something that’d happened yet - whilst Jay was in the car, it was a taboo topic. Apparently the two of them disagreed on a lot and Jay would be bound to tell Zavier of anything we planned.
“Oh, right.” I shifted myself into a more upright position and nodded. My eyes only felt half open, but the morning light filtering through the windows was changing that. “Yeah. Do you have a mirror or something I could borrow?”
“Mm, good idea,” Charlie nodded, turning around to sift through the contents of her large duffel bag. After a few seconds, she let out a triumphant ‘ha’ and pulled her arm back. A small, silvery compact mirror was clutched in her slender hand. “Here.”
“Thanks,” I offered a small smile, taking it and unclipping the lock, flipping the mirror open.
We’d been on the road since about four this morning, but apparently I still looked tired, so Charlie tried to convince me to get some more sleep. It hadn’t really worked, but I didn’t complain - resting was easier then keeping up with their conversations. Ever since Charlie agreed to help me, I’d warmed up to her a lot more. Jay – well, he wasn’t a bad guy, but considering he didn’t talk an awful lot and was still on Zavier’s side, he wasn’t exactly in my good books either. I knew it was ridiculous, but I almost felt relieved that the two of them had kidnapped me, in opposed to the stereotypical thugs or paedophilic old men that were renowned for snatching teenage girls. But still – any kidnappers were bad to some extent; I’d just gotten somewhat lucky.
