“What’s he gonna tell her?” A quiet voice whispered loudly, over the rumbling of a car. There was a pause.
“I dunno. He’s a bloody idiot if he thinks she’s going to just gonna go with it though,” a male voice responded, sounding husky and tired.
“I know,” the other voice murmured. It was distinctly feminine. It was silent for a few minutes before the man let out a half-hearted, short chuckle.
“I can’t believe we found her. I mean, we weren’t even looking,” he exhaled, the car squealing slightly as it stopped at a set of traffic lights.
“Do you think we’ll get rewarded or something? Not that I want it – but do you think it’d be offered?” The girl asked, still whispering.
The boy grunted quietly. “Dunno. I’m not accepting anything. Kidnapping someone isn’t something I want a prize for.”
“Yeah, I know,” the girl agreed softly. “I feel so sorry for her.” The boy hummed in agreement.
“You know, I almost want her to react badly, just to see how Zavier reacts. I know that’s horrible, but if she just goes along with it… well -”
“He’ll never learn,” the girl completed the sentence for him. “It wouldn’t be any fun to watch either.”
“It won’t be any fun anyway. I really wish we didn’t have to do this at all,” the boy sighed. “When do you think she’ll wake up?”
“I'm pretty sure she’s already starting to.”
“Really? How long till she's fully awake?”
“I dunno, I'm not physic. Ten, fifteen minutes? Maybe twenty? You shouldn’t have hit her on the head, you know. Zavier’s gonna be peeved when he finds out.”
“I didn’t mean to,” the boy protested, his voice rising momentarily before he lowered back down to a whisper again. “I only grabbed her, she tripped on her own feet. It’s not my fault she hit her head on the car, she was going crazy, I had no control. And it’s not like you were helping me anyway. Why is it always me doing all the man-handling?”
The girl snorted softly. “Because, thickhead, you are a man. And I sedated her, which is lot more then anything you did.”
“Of course it is,” the boy muttered. A clicking sound followed and the car tilted slightly as it swerved around a corner. “You know what, if you are so much better in these situations then I am, then you can have the honours of explaining what’s going on when she wakes up.”
“Fine,” the girl agreed shortly. “Watch me.”

My ears woke up before my eyes, picking up on the familiar sound of a quite engine running, the occasional whispered comment and the squeal of windscreen wipers running across the front window screen. A small frown formed in the middle of my forehead, my heart pounding as uncertainty settled in.
Where was I?
My eyes shot open, staring up at the grey fabric that lined the roof of the car I was lying in. I bolted upright, my stomach sending pangs of panic through my heart and up my spine. I was stretched horizontally across the passenger seat of a seemingly small car, my legs still laid out in front of me. Rain was pelting against the windows, droplets dribbling down the cold glass rapidly, the sky outside a grey sheet of cloud. I was still in my jean shorts, t-shirt and hoodie, yet I wasn’t cold.
