Waking up somewhere unfamiliar was something Tara was not used to, in fact she didn't think she'd ever experienced it before apart from the first time in her dorm room. So when she saw the unfamiliar ceiling she panicked, and tried to turn around before feeling something, or rather someone, holding her down. She was momentarily confused, before looking down and seeing the sleeping girl laid on her chest, sleeping peacefully. Her blonde hair was almost entirely covering her half of the pillow, the rest being taken up by Tara. She smiled at Lily before pressing a soft kiss to her forehead and stroking her hair, she couldn't believe this was all real. This time yesterday, she could have never imagined that she'd ever be in this position. Having Willow back was everything she could ever want, but having a daughter on top of that too was something she'd have to adjust to but she certainly wasn't complaining. Lily had squashed herself in between her Moms' last night before falling asleep. Smiling to herself at that memory, Tara carefully turned around to check the time on her phone, before cringing at the amount of texts she had received from Buffy. They said things like 'Where are you? You're never home this late' 'Omg are you having a one night stand finally, good for you!' 'Ok well I'm going out so if you're coming home 😉 you'll have an empty house all morning tomorrow'. Rolling her eyes, she put her phone down and ignored the messages, before turning to see Willow smiling at her.
"Jeez Will you scared me!" She giggled, "I didn't think you were awake!""I just woke up, I'm glad it wasn't just a dream. I was having my doubts for a second there." Willow softly smiled.
"I know, I was confused when I woke up because I didn't recognise the room, but I could feel Lily lying on me and that assured me that I wasn't dreaming before." Tara giggled again, never feeling as happy as she did now.
"What were you reading baby?" Willow asked, shuffling closer to Tara so she could slightly lean on her.
"Just some texts from Buffy last night asking where I was, and saying that she wasn't gonna be home until this afternoon anyways." She replied, carefully resting her head on top of Willow's.
"Did you mean what you said yesterday?"
"What do you mean? The whole me moving in thing?" Tara responded, guessing what Willow was asking. Seeing Willow's nod she continued, "I mean it sweetie, I don't ever wanna be away from you ever again, or Lily."
"Really?" Willow smiled, then reached up and softly kissed Tara. "Living in a big city is so different to living here you know?"
"I can tell," Tara smiled, "Lily looked so confused when we went for ice cream yesterday, that it wasn't hard to get a seat or anything." As if hearing her name mentioned, Tara could feel Lily start to stir in her sleep and begin to wake up.
"Talk of the devil." Willow giggled, noticing too.
"What times is its?" Lily yawned, not yet opening her eyes.
"Hmm it's half past eight now I think." Tara smiled, "Probably time to get some breakfast."
"Momma! Can we have pancakes?" Lily gave her best puppy dog eyes, remembering her Mommy telling her that Momma made the best pancakes ever.
"I would sweetie but I don't have anything to make it them here, or a stove either." She replied stroking Lily's hair.
"You can take her to the house, I don't mind. I just don't think I'm ready to go there, I'm not sure I ever will be. but Lils can if she wants to. Just save me a pancake too!" Willow smiled, she thought it would be a good idea to let them have some one on one time. And she didn't know if she could face the house, or Buffy if she was there.
"You sure sweetie?"
"Yeah, Lily do you want to?" Willow asked softly, running a hand through Lily's hair.
