I checked my clothes, things and other pasalubong that I bought for my friends in the Philippines before putting them inside my luggage when my phone rang.

"Hey babe, sorry I missed your calls, we just finished shooting for our new music video kasi but don't worry I will fetch you later at the airport. You take care, okay? See you later, babygirl. Love you!"

"It's okay. Take some rest muna, it's very late na there. I will still start packing my things right now though. See you later, kuya. Good night, love you too," I smiled at the thought of seeing the family who took good care of me when I was younger.

It's been six years since I last visited in the Philippines. I completed my four-year undergraduate degree program and my accelerated three-year MD degree, completed my internship and fortunately passed the licensing exam in NYU Grossman School of Medicine. And now, I decided to go back to the Philippines to pursue my residency program in dermatology. Also, nothing beats being home you know.

No matter how far I will wander, I will always come back home.

I was just wearing a simple black fitted top and a crop top denim jacket. I paired my tops with a black jeggings, white sneakers and a simple Bulgari Serpenti Tubogas Silver Opaline Dial Quartz watch. I just put on some powder, an on-fleek kilay and soft matte lipstick in butterscotch shade.

"Scar, grams will miss you. I will visit you there soon, okay? Take care of your mental health always. Don't stress much with studies and just enjoy life while it lasts. Your parents are so proud of you, apo. We will always be here for you, me and your lolo." My grandmom hugged me tightly after saying those sweet and comforting words to me. My grandpa also hugged us both.

"I will miss you, mama-la, lolo! !" I hugged them back and still get a little teary-eyed even though I know they will also come home sooner or later.

"My girls, you guys will still see each other soon. Our heiress will always make us more proud. And we will always be there for her as she achieves her dreams in life." My grandpa hugged us tighter. I nodded and smiled at my lola bago ko pinahiran ang nakakainis na luha ko.

"Of course, lo! I won't fail our family."

I take my Bvlgari sunglasses off before getting my luggage and one travel bag for pasalubongs. I texted my kuya a while ago that I'm here na. He immediately replied that he saw me. Lumilinga-linga ako sa dami ng tao sa airport and then there I saw him, holding a huge banner with my old funny pics. Standing beside my kuya are the three idiots I called friends posing like models. I immediately ran towards them giggling.

"Oh my gosh! Sana all mamula-mula ang pisngi at amoy America!" tukso ni Zie sa'kin sabay yakap. I laughed at her. Since when pa siya naging madaldal? OMG! She was the silent and shy-type sa amin. I must have missed a lot of chikas from them.

"I missed you kahit na ikaw lang ang palagi kong kavideo-call bruha ka!" sambit ni Yunaria, my bestfriend. I hugged her tight. Pinisil niya pa ang tagiliran ko. Maldita talaga nitong babaeng 'to. Buti bestfriend ko 'to eh.

"Hi Scar, namiss kita, future sister-in-law!" biro ni Helena. I hugged her and looked at my kuya. He just laughed.

I am happy that I am here now, with them, with my family and friends.

"Missed you all too. It's been six fucking years guys! Now I'm-" someone shouted so loud from behind kaya napalingon ako sa kanila.

"Wow chix! Namiss mo ba ako?!"

And then I saw my boy bestfriend Harry shouting, with the gang and well, someone I really did love in the past.
