"Treecko use Pound,"
The Wood Gecko Pokémon dashed towards a tree and slammed it with its tail. It jumped back and multiple apples fell from the tree.
"Great job buddy," said a teen as he petted Treecko. He then proceeded to pick up the apples and put them in a bag.
"Alright Treecko let's go back inside." The Pokémon hopped on his shoulder and he walked into his house. He went to the kitchen and he kept the apples on the counter.
"Here, the first apples of the season," he said.
"Wonderful! Thank you so much Nathan," a lady exclaimed as she walked into the kitchen tying an apron.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay a while for my Apple Pie?" she said.
"I'm sorry sis, but if I don't leave now I wont reach Oldale Town on time,"
"It's okay Nathan," she said as she took the apples out of the bag. She sniffed a couple of times and said, "Oh, I can't believe my little brother is grown up and about to leave home to begin his adventure. I still remember the two of us playing in the backyard when we were little," she proceeded to wipe a teardrop with her handkerchief.
"Christy, we talked about this. Come on don't cry. You've fed me some of the best delicacies the entire week and now I think I'm ready to start my adventure," said Nathan and they proceeded to hug each other.
"I love you, and I'll miss you so much," said Christy as she wept a few tears.
"I love you too sis, and I'll surely miss you."
Christy wiped her tears and then proceeded to take Treecko into her arms, tightly hugging him. "And I'll miss you too, you little trouble maker,"
"You know you can call Sam to taste your Apple Pie dear sis, I know you two fancy each other," Nathan said with a wink.
They chuckled as Christy wiped the last of her tears. Nathan carried his bag and Treecko proceeded to hop on his shoulder.
"Alright sis, it's time. Make sure you invite Sam, and please no hanky-panky,"
"Nathan!" Christy exclaimed.
"I'm joking! Alright Goodbye Christy, take care!" Nathan said as he and Treecko waved Chrity goodbye and they left the house.
"Goodbye Nathan," Christy said with a smile as she tightly held her handkerchief close to her chest. Her smile disappeared as soon as they left and she whispered, "Stay safe."
Nathan walked away from his house with Treecko steadily riding on his shoulder. He wiped his eyes and rubbed his nose. Treecko looked at its trainer in concern and let out a soft cry. Nathan smiled and he looked at Treecko as he patted its head.
"It's ok boy, I just got a bit emotional leaving my sister you know. But I'm fine now cause we are gonna start our journey together!"
Treecko smiled and tightly hugged Nathan.
"Alright then let's move to Route 1!"
