So at my school, we have this week called SPUD week. It's kinda like a whole week for people to donate to recipients who need the money (for example, there were seven people/organizations this year. Three or four people had cancer or something physically wrong with their bodies, someone had autism and it was bad enough that they had to have a wheelchair, and the other two were organizations for people with disabilities or in need.) This year was the 20th anniversary, so that's cool. For SPUD week, people choose a theme for people in SPUD to decorate the halls with. This year, Phineas and Ferb won. Last year, it was Lilo and Stitch. A year before that, it was Shrek (probably for the meme). And it goes on and on.
The halls are decorated like crazy. There was Swinter, Candice's room, Perry the platypus, a black light hallway where everything glowed, and so on and so forth. This tower was built in the middle of the cafeteria. This picture doesn't show justice to this thing, for sure. It's ridiculously tall. There are also events during the week for people to pay for and go to some hour of the day.
This year, people donated around $208,156.18 to this week, which is pretty cool. Freshmen and Sophomores aren't as respectful to this event as they should be, but hopefully when they grow up a little more they'd understand and actually have more fun XD at the end of SPUD, people kinda have free range to just rip everything apart, and it was honestly kinda fun last year, but now that I kinda care more about it, I don't really think that's all that nice. So... Yeah! It was a fun week.
