Also, you asked about wing proportion. The way I do it is either look at references, or imagine how big the wings would need to be in order for the creature or person or whatever it is to fly. For a dragon, I'd say the wingspan has to be at least the size of the dragon. For a griffon, I think the size in the anatomy structure sheet up above was pretty decent. Keep in mind that wings need to be pretty big to pick something off the ground, unless of course it's a creature that resembles a bumble bee or a humming bird.
