*MIKE X FEM!READER*

(Y/n) just moved to Derry, Maine from New York City. She actually really missed NYC, the angry crackheads that would yell at her parents for weed, to the people who would stare at her while she rode the subway. (Which was her least favorite thing to do in her home city.) The really only thing she didn't enjoy, was that it was way too chaotic for her and it gave her way too much anxiety as she would like. The family arrived in Derry the day before school was starting for (y/n). To her surprise, the house was relatively nice. As she was unpacking and organizing her room, her mom,(m/n), walked in. "Hey sweetie, why don't you go downtown, meet some people before school starts up, maybe you'll make a new friend!" (Y/n) really hated socializing and her parents were well aware of it. She grabbed her bag from the corner of the room and portable music player with a Beatles cassette inside. She trekked downstairs slowly, not wanted to leave, as if something was pulling her backwards. She hesitantly walked out the door, and walked outside, hating the slightly chill wind breeze on her exposed skin. Pulling her jacket hood over her head, draping it down her face, she walked. (Y/n) stopped at what looked to be a pharmacy and saw a cigarette ad in the window sill. She walked inside and saw a few packs sitting on the pharmacy counter. Raising one eyebrow, she walked confidently over to the counter to see an old man standing upon her. "Hey could you look in the back and see if there are any more vanilla shampoo bottles?" (Y/n) asked the pharmacist. He nodded slowly and walked to the back. She slid a pack off the counter and put it in her bag. The man came back and said, "Sorry sugar, I guess we ran out." (Y/n) walked away, slightly shuddering at the creepy nickname the old man gave her. Cigarettes successfully stolen, she walked down to the quarry. She took in the gorgeous atmosphere of the woods, which held a special place in her heart. She settled herself down on a rock and pulled out the pack of cigarettes and a zippo lighter. As she lit her cigarette, she stared at the flame in awe. She sat there and staring at the flame then out towards the river. She loved how peaceful the woods were. New York didn't really have woods but they had a small one near Central Park that she would always visit. As she finished her cigarette, throwing it on the ground, she heard faint yelling in the distance. (Y/n) grabbed her things and headed towards the yelling, as it got louder and louder. Before she could even blink she was hiding behind a tree, watching a small group of older boys torment a boy about her age. She got an idea, a spark of confidence bubbling inside her. "Hey! Get off him, now," (y/n) said loudly. The dirty blonde of the group stepped towards her, letting go of the boy. The mullet head slowly walked towards her, causing her to tense up a little. "What did you say to me, slut?"

"I said get off him, b-but you're off him now so, I-I should say go away," (y/n) gulped, feeling stupid about stuttering. The guy stood over her, towering the smaller girl slightly. He slid his hand onto her waist with a sadistic smile plastered on his stupid face. "Well, aren't you a sweet thing." (Y/n) kneed him in his nuts before he could continue his catcalling. The boy fell to the ground while the other two, a boy with bleach blonde hair and a small frame, and a chubbier male with short brown hair, ran over to his side. (Y/n) sneaked past the group and helped the bullied boy to his feet. The two ran out of the woods until they were safe downtown. They caught their breath until the boy spoke, "Thank you, so, so much. I'm Mike, Mike Hanlon." (Y/n) looked up at the boy getting a good look at him and blushed. 'Damn, he's cute.' (Y/n) thought. "I-I'm (Y/n). Do you go to Derry High?" Mike looked up at her and blushed slightly. "Y-yeah, I'll be going this year, last year I was home schooled." (Y/n) looked down, playing with her jacket sleeve, "Well, do you wanna be friends? I'm new in town. I-I just moved here from New York." Mike put his hand on her shoulder in reassurance, causing her to look up at him. He nodded in approval, a smile forming on his face. (Y/n) blushed and hugged Mike as a thank you with Mike hugging her back, slinging his arms around her waist. (Y/n) made a bold move and leaned back, kissing Mike's cheek, causing him to blush. He caressed (y/n)'s chin softly and pressed his slightly chapped lips on her soft ones, (y/n) obviously kissing back. He pulled away and smiled. "I have to go, Grandpa wants me back at 5 for dinner," Mike said a sadly, wanting to stay with her. "O-okay, see you tomorrow, Hanlon," (Y/n) said winking. The two parted ways, both blushing furiously. As soon as (y/n) came home she opened the front door and pressed her back against it in happiness. "So, how was it? Did you make any friends?" her mom said excitedly. "Oh, you have no idea," (Y/n) said slumping down onto the couch.
