Chapter Eight

The night of my body being discovered, little Jesse could not sleep. I watched over him from the outside of the house. That's one cool thing about being part of the beautiful dead. You can see through things. Anything. He cried, and moped in my mother's arms. And she coddled him as if he were an infant. I wish I could have someone hold me. But that was forbidden.

Jack stayed at our house to comfort my grieving family. Alls I could do was sit there and try to put together the pieces as to what happened that I'm hovering over my house instead of lying in my own bed. I needed to know what happened before this knife fight, during, and I obviously know what happened afterwards. I was sent to hell.

I may not have a beating heart with blood coursing through my veins, and lungs to breathe from. But us spirits do become very warn out after awhile, and we, like people too need our rest. Otherwise, our powers aren't as strong, and we become very weak. I hovered around town, but out of sight to the human eye, to look for a place to sleep. I found an abandoned barn, and used it as my home. I piled hay up inside, and passed out on my new bed.

Tomorrow, I will find out what happened. No matter what it takes...
