Chapter 6: A secret revealed

Once Shark and Yuma were in my room, I told them everything. I told them about being the holder of a Miraculous and stressed to them seven-thousand times that they couldn't tell anyone. They agreed. "If you get detention again, I'll know why." He said as he winked at me. I smiled. They were the most understanding parents I could ask for. "So, do you have to go out every night to patrol?" Yuma asked. "Yea. Around seven-ish." I said. "Does anyone else know it's you under the mask?" Shark asked. "Only Ladybug knows who I truly am. Since she's the guardian of the Miraculous now, I figured she should know." I told him. "Well, you should probably get to bed. Saving the city is pretty hard, and you'll need your strength for tomorrow if someone is akumatized." Yuma said. He was right. Since I had a pretty long day, I decided to go to bed early.

"Um, Shark? Can I ask you something?" I said to Shark before he went downstairs. "Sure. What is it?" Shark asked. "How did you know that Violet existed?" I asked Shark. "Well, when you called Yuma, I answered the phone as you know. When you transformed, you didn't hang up the phone, so I heard everything. At least until your phone died." Shark replied. "I'm an idiotic person!" I said as I slapped myself. "Yes, but you're MY idiotic daughter!" Shark said as he kissed my forehead. Once Shark went downstairs, Violet came out of my pocket. "Y'know, you don't have to hide from them anymore. They know you exist." I told her. "Was it really the best idea to tell them your secret?" Violet asked me. "Trust me Violet. They're not the kind of parents that can't keep secrets. We'll be fine." I said as I crawled into my bed. I was able to fall asleep knowing my parents understood.

When I woke up, I looked at my phone. It was 6:48 in the morning. I got up and went downstairs. I normally wake up at 7:15, but since I couldn't fall asleep, I decided to get ready early. Violet was still sleeping on my shoulder when I walked downstairs. "So, that's Violet?" Shark asked. "Yep. She's my Kwamii." I said. "Well, I have to go to work now. Bye Cupcake." Shark said. He kissed my forehead and then left. Yuma can wake up whenever, since he doesn't have a job. I thought. Violet woke up. "Hey Violet, wanna make muffins?" I asked. "Sure." She said sleepily. "What flavor?" I asked Violet. "Lemon," Violet said as she yawned.

Fifteen minutes later, we're both making muffins and singing to Alan Walker songs. "I'm not alone!" I sang. "I'm not alone!" Violet sang. "I know I'm not alone!" We both sang as Yuma walked downstairs. "It's like I have two kids now!" He said. "Sorry. We wanted muffins, so we put some music on and started baking!" I said. "Are you ready for school?" He asked. "Yep! I'm ready for a fabulous Friday!" I said.

One hour later, I was walking to school. "Those muffins were delicious!" Violet said as she finished her muffin. "I'm glad you liked them," I said as I smiled. "Hey! Zueki!" I turned around. It was Adrien! Again! "Hey," I said. "We're still on for studying tomorrow, right?" He asked. "Yea. Why?" I asked him. "Well, since we have 20 minutes before school starts, my father wants to meet you. Would it be okay?" He asked. Then I realized I was standing in front of Adrien's house! "Sure," I said. If I get to know my enemy better, it could be a huge advantage! I thought to myself. "Great! This way!" Adrien said as he grabbed my hand.

We entered the house, and Mr. Agreste was standing at the top of the stairs. "Father, this is my friend Zueki!" Adrien said. "This is the girl you like Adrien?" Mr. Agreste said. Wait. Did he say, ADRIEN LIKES ME?! "Father!" Adrien said a little annoyed. I could see he was embarrassed. "My fault son. You just talk about her a lot so I assumed you liked her." Mr. Agreste said. "Well, I like her as a friend, but nothing more." Adrien said to his father. What a relief! Adrien only sees me as a friend. "This is the girl you want to study with tomorrow?" Mr. Agreste asked Adrien. "Yes father. It would be great if she could help me study. I mean, she is the smartest in her class." Adrien said to his father. I looked at Mr. Agreste as he said yes to his son. "Thank you father!" Adrien said pleased. All I could see was Mr. Agreste looking at my purple necklace.

Later, during lunch, I told Marinette, Alya and Valerie about tomorrow. "I don't have the slightest idea why Adrien picked me! Marinette is plenty smart AND in his class!" I said to Alya. "Don't you realize that Marinette can't even SPEAK to Adrien without freaking out? Plus, you're in an advanced class." Alya told me. "I'm sure Adrien just wants to try and make new friends. And who knows? Maybe he really does need help studying!" Valeri said.

Suddenly, all four of us heard Chloe screaming at someone. It was Lila. Let me just tell you something before I go any further. Lila is the biggest liar, snob, and backstabber ever! She likes Adrien and she'll usually get Marinette and Chloe in trouble since they like Adrien too! Back to the subject at hand, Chloe was screaming at Lila. "You're just the freak that gets akumatized all the time! You're Hawkmoth's assistant!" Chloe fumed. "Sorry QUEEN WASP! I'm not a daily supervillain like you!" Lila shot back. Chloe was silent. Her face was red and she had a pissed look on her face.

"Look! Up there!" Alya shouted. An akuma was flying towards Chloe. "Chloe! Look out!" I screamed. It was too late. Chloe was turning into Queen Wasp before everyone's eyes. "Now, I will DESTROY Lila Rossi!" She screamed. Everyone was screaming and trying to run away, but the wasps that Queen Wasp controlled were paralyzing everyone! I quickly grabbed my water bottle and splashed it over Lila. "What the hell was that for?!" She yelled. "Do you WANT to get paralyzed and taken by Queen Wasp?!" I said as I grabbed her arm. Even though I hated her, I wasn't going to let anyone get hurt on my watch.

The two of us ran outside trying to avoid the wasps. "Stay here!" I said to Lila, as I hid her in some bushes. I quickly ran into an alley to transform. I was about to transform when I saw Adrien in the same alley! He noticed me and ran up to me. "It's not safe here! You have to get home!" He told me. "My house is too far away! I'll get paralyzed before I get there!" I told him. "Zueki!" I turned around. It was Shark! There were wasps flying over to me and Adrien. Shark started running towards the two of us. I jumped in front of Adrien. Even though I wasn't transformed, I had to protect people in the city. I closed my eyes as a wasp flew towards me. Suddenly, Shark hugged me and he was paralyzed instead! "DAD!" I screamed as he froze. "We can't stay here!" Adrien said as he pulled me away from my father. "I can't leave him!" I told Adrien as I struggled to break free from his grasp. "Relax! If we wait for Ladybug and Chat Noir, they'll fix everything!" Adrien said. "Yes, we will." Ladybug said as she jumped down from the top of a building. "Adrien, I need to borrow this girl for something. Go find a safe place to hide!" Adrien nodded and ran off to find somewhere to hide.

Once I was out of his sight, I transformed. "The akuma is in her sunglasses! I saw it fly into them!" I told Ladybug. "Okay, I want you to use your chain to capture Queen Wasp." Ladybug said as she slid her yo-yo up to call Chat Noir. "Chat! Where are you?" Ladybug said when Chat Noir didn't answer. "Maybe he's been paralyzed?" I said. "I don't think so. Even Chat's not careless enough to get paralyzed." Ladybug told me. "Well, look who's playing superhero now!" Ladybug and I turned around and saw Queen Wasp standing behind us. "It doesn't matter. My wasps will take care of you!" Queen Wasp said as she sent her wasps towards us. "Dammit! There's no water around here!" Ladybug said. I looked around. I had to do something or our Miraculous would be taken! "Ladybug, when I tell you to, I want you to run like hell." I said as I stepped in front of Ladybug. I pushed Ladybug back. "Now!" I said. Then, everything went black.
