There was a collaborative book by @teaandtoastplease called Tales from Murderville that invites writers to contribute to an ongoing mystery in a small English country village.
With the author's permission I am using my contribution in that story to create a tale of my own, which includes references to characters and portions of incidents that occurred in the original.
While my story is quite different, I hope what I have written maintains the spirit of that collaboration.
This is also the second attempt at trying to write a story; I have learned that my usual approach of not trying and just letting it happen is by far more appealing to me.
