Immediately after her birthday, Jimin moved to Seoul in his mother's house, because his parents were divorced.
When Y/n was 16, her mother decided to remarry, because she was divorced from Y/n's father too.
Y/n could not accept it and through of fleeing to another city, but because she was still a minor, she failed.
But BOOM, Y/n didn't know that her step-father is actually Jimin's biological father - her childhood best friend- she doesn't  remember him because she was very young.

PRESENT TIME

Y/n's POV

          I turned 18...
It's been two years since I was planning to leave Busan because of my mother's marriage, which my brother and I found difficult to accept.

In the beginning , we argued a lot, even a lot. I often locked myself in my room and cried all night.

Also, my brother would often come to my room at night.
We talked about my mother's new marriage, it was clear that he didn't mind either.

We had many conversations with our mom about it, but she was just trying to convince us to accept the man, and that she really loves him and that she decided to be with him.

My father's absence was felt at home.

We often went to breakfast together, took a stroll in the park, and had fun.

But as time went on, we just had to get used to it.

Our step-father worked at a well known car company called KIA in Seoul, just where I wanted to go.

One morning, my step-dad wasn't home. My mother was preparing breakfast for her, for me and for my brother.
At the same time, I was sitting in my room thinking about telling them that I would like to go to college in Seoul soon, and that I would be staying in boarding there.

I was very hesitant about this decision that has no back. But in the end I mustered up courage, looked in the mirror and said to myself:
"You can do this Y/n".

I slowly descended the stairs and felt the smell of my favorite food - cheese macaroni.

Suddenly, emotions overwhelmed me, I sat down the stairs and began to cry, because I knew that I wouldn't eat my mom's food for long.

My brother heard me,came up to me, hugged me and asked what's wrong.

I hugged him back and told him to sit down at the table and wait for our mother, and then announce a news to them.

I went down to the kitchen and my mother and brother were already waiting for me there.

My mother had worrying expression on her face, she told me to sit down and to tell what's going on.

I sat down at the table, looked at both of them and finally stared:

"For a long time a want to tell you that I want to go to college in another city, in Seoul".

My mother stopped me and started with her maternal questions:
"How would you go there alone"?
"Where will you stay"?
"How will you feed yourself"?
"Let your brother come with you".
"Seoul is a big city, and what if someone attacks you, or you get lost"?!

"Mom don't worry, I'm an adult girl and I can handle it myself " - I said with teary eyes.
"Plus, dad Pilwoo works there, so I'll be under his protection. But I don't want him to pay for my stay, I'll get a job and start a routine.
I decided to stay in the dormitory , I would probably have a roommate there and not be alone, and will be friend with someone at the college".

Oppa asked me when I was planning to go.

I said I want to go as fast as I can and get back, so it would be about a week.

My mother with teary eyes hugged me and said:
"It's true that you're not little girl anymore, you've grown up, but you'll always stay kid for me.
I can't stop you from going, you're 18 now. I'm just going to tell you to guard, as I guarded you."

Then my brother hugged me and confirmed mom's words.

Finally we started breakfast. I already said that that is my favorite food and I really enjoyed it.

The macaroni was delicious as always.

Suddenly, my mom started talking about moments from many years ago.

So we all enjoyed breakfast together, talked about beautiful things, and laughed to tears.

After breakfast, I went to my room and started making a list, so that I would not forget some of the thinks I need to take with me.

"Okay, clothes of course, makeup, face and body care creams, handbags, jewelry, shoes, underwear, hair preparations, hygiene pads, toothbrush...
Now, my laptop, phone charger, earphones, umm what else..?
Ughhh this is terrible"!!

At that moment my mother came in and said:

"Slowly sweetheart, you have one more whole week, you still have time. I'll help you with preparations, don't hurry".

"Yes mom I know, but I'm super nervous, and I have butterflies of excitement in my stomach , and here is a total mess!"

"Yeah, I know Y/n, but you should calm down. It's normal to be excited and nervous".

"Don't think about negative things"- my brother said while entering in my room.
"Think positively and everything will be fine, as you said, you have already grown up and candle it".

Mom hugged as both and told us that we are her diamonds, and that we need to protect each other, because it's worth it, it's worth a lot.
