Have you ever heard the words 'Copying is the highest form of compliment.' Well that's not true. Voting is. The majority of users on Wattpad are not authors, they are readers. Those readers don't know why it is so important for an author to have votes.
Votes are pretty much the reader telling the author 'I really liked this chapter.' So most readers only vote on one or two chapters that they liked.
However, readers should vote on every chapter they read and completed, especially if you want to continue reading. See, an authors whole day lights up when they see that someone, not only took the time to read their work, but also really liked it and voted on it.
A chapter that takes you ten-fifteen minutes to read took the author about an hour-two hours to write. Give the authors some appreciation by voting.
