"you promised the world and i fell for it."

the café was irregularly barren today. a few customers scattered across the seating area but that was it. sadly, not as many people had shown up which is quite unusual considering it was a saturday.

a ding was heard throughout the building which caused noel to look up. she was met with striking brown eyes and instantly recognized the person behind those eyes.

it was none other than her boyfriend, kim taehyung.

he walked to the counter, automatically knowing where noel was stationed. a smile graced his lips as he made it right in front of her.

"hello noel. the usual please," he says as he takes out his wallet.

noel gives a slight nod as she enters in his order that she knows by heart. it was a just a simple hot cocoa with cinnamon and whip cream. taehyung hands her the money and she takes it and puts it in the cash register. turning around, noel starts to work on his drink. while making his drink, noel makes herself a drink, a mocha with caramel.

noel made her way towards the table her boyfriend had chosen and set down his drink. sliding back her chair, she sat down across from him. it was her break time after all. the camera hung around taehyung's neck was brought up with his hands. a quick flash went off as he took a picture of noel. but noel wasn't fast enough to bring her hands to her face.

"ahhhh taehyung, you know i don't like pictures taken of me!" she says in a playfully mad tone.

a deep chuckle escapes his lips, "noel, you are beautiful," he takes her hands into his, moving them away from her face, "no need to hide your face."

a blush spread across her face, though taehyung had always complemented her, it still feels like the first time.

taehyung and noel had been together for roughly five years. ever since junior year when taehyung had asked her to prom as just friends, but then instantly clicked as more than that. now, they both attend college and their relationship is still going on strong.

taehyung had made a discovery about himself that he loved photography. and noel of course, just works at the café when she isn't busy with college work.

after chatting until noel's break was up, taehyung had caught her arm right as she stood up.

"i love you el," he said using the nickname he made for noel.

with a sincere and truthful smile plastered on her face, noel said, "i love you more tae." and with that, she walked away. back to the counter to work the rest of her shift. taehyung gathered his belongings spread across the table and walked out of the café.

and it was true. noel loved taehyung more than he loved her.
