(Phoenix Dragon (Original Story; Scrapped) Chapter 1: Poison

Riku was in his room, reading a book when his younger sister walked in.

Riku: Hey Ravel.

Ravel: Hey Riku. Whatcha doing?

Riku: Just reading. Need anything?

Ravel: We're about to head out soon.

Riku: Already? 

Their older brother, Riser was soon to be wed with Rias Gremory. The reason for the arrange marriage was because of the shortage of pure blooded devils. Riku also had a fiance though they hated each other, but secretly lovers.

The Phenex brothers teleported to the ORC where they met Rias and her peerage. 

Riser: Ah~ We have arrived.

Riku: Hello Rias.

Rias: Hello Riku, Riser.

Everyone sat down as the talk about the wedding went on. Rias and Riser were going over some ideas while Riku was drinking his tea.

???: Rias, I'm her-

Two entered the room. One was a boy with brown hair and a girl with long blonde hair. Rias introduced them as Issei Hyoudou and Asia Argento. The Pawn and Bishop of her group.

The discussion continued as Akeno was teasing Riku about his love life. If you're wondering who, his fiance was Serafall Leviathan, eldest daughter of the Sitri Household and one of the Four Devil Kings. It was their parents idea though the two showed that they really hated each other, but in reality were secretly dating.

Riku walked out for a quick breath and was met by Issei.

Riku: So, have any plans for the future? Any dreams you want to accomplish?

Issei: My dream is to become Harem King and have sex with all the girls on Earth!

Riku: Oookay then. For me, just to become strong enough for my little sister. She'll be the next heir to the family and I want to support her all the way even though I don't have the Phoenix magic.

Issei: No magic?

Riku: I know sucks huh?

Issei: Yep. Anyway, you want some more tea? I could get you another cup if you want?

Riku: That would be nice. Thank you. 

Issei: Don't mention it.

Issei left to get another cup when he came back Riku took a sip, but something was wrong. It tasted strange. Riku took another sip when he started coughing up blood.

Issei: Don't take it personal, But I won't let you get in the way of my dream!

Riku coughing up more before collapsing onto the floor in his own blood. When Rias and Riser were done, everyone was about to leave when they noticed someone missing.

Riser: Wait, where's my brother?

They went to find him only to find him on the floor in his blood. 

Riser: Riku!

Riser ran over and picked him up.

Riser: Riku! What happened?

Koneko smelled something and looked at the cup next to him. She sniffed it as her eyes widened.

Koneko: It's poison.

Everyone started to question who it was then wondered about the last person who was with him. It hit them as they turned to Issei.

Rias: Asia, try and heal him. 

Asia did as told and went to heal Riku as Rias looked at Issei in rage.

Rias: WHAT WERE YOU DOING?!

Issei: He got in the way of my dreams!

Ravel and the rest of Riser's peerage walked in and saw the situation. Ravel ran over and cried in Riku's blood stained shirt.

Riser's peerage came over and hlped carried his body to the portal.

Riser: The marriage will be postponed until this is resolved. However, this won't be forgiven.

Riku was taken back home where doctors did a check on him. Riser and their older brother, Ruval tried to comfort their crying sister. Riser's peerage was in sorrow by Riku's condition.

Karlamine: To think someone would do something so horrible.

Isabella: That bastard will pay!!

Ile: I don't want him to go!

Nel: Me too!

Shuriya: Should we tell Lord Sitri about this?

Yubelluna: We might as well. 

The doctors came out with sad news. Riku didn't survive the poison and passed on. The entire Phenex Family were devastated and angry at the person responsible for taking their love one away. 

However, it wasn't the end for Riku just yet.
