"Thank heavens you're safe," the boy jugged Jennie tight, as if he had no plans on letting her go.
"Jen, I'm sorry. For everything." Julian started. "No, it's my fau-" "No. I shouldn't have cheated on you. I shouldn't have been such an asshole. I have a lot of regrets and I still can't believe you would still choose to be with a kind of guy like me. I wanna make it up to you, Jen. Let me prove it to you and everyone that I can be the Julian you wish I am." He paused as he looked Jennie in the eyes, orbs filled with tears and sincerity.
He took something from his back pocket and got on one knee. "Jennie Ruby Jane Kim, will you make me the happiest and luckiest man alive by taking a leap of faith with me to the start of eternity?" His shaky breath was evident, hands shivering.
"Yes! A million times yes, I will!" Jennie helped the boy up and hugged him tighter than ever.
The rooftop was filled with silence. I was stuck, frozen in my place. I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out.
I slowly made my way towards the now engaged couple and stopped.
"Congratulations," I let out weakly and picked up the damaged contract behind them. I got up and slowly made my way to the exit, not minding the calls from my friends and the cat-eyed girl.
"Let her be for a while, Dub." Was the last thing I heard before completely leaving the rooftop as I made my way out, not knowing where I'm even headed.
And for the first time, that's okay.

After hours of random lefts and rights, I managed to wander into an abandoned park, surrounded by big trees. I took my time to observe everything I can from the rusty swings, to the broken benches.
You were beautiful, just like our friendship. Just like this park.
But it wasn't the best. It was abandoned for something else. An ocean park, perhaps? An arcade? Or maybe even a mall.
Whatever it is, at least it makes the people happy.

I plopped on my bed as soon as I got home, heaving a deep sigh and taking in all the things I witnessed today.
The woman of my dreams is getting married, I puff my cheeks and run my hands through my hair.
I couldn't believe it.
She said "yes" to that douchebag. She said "yes" to the boy who always hurt her. The boy who hurt my Dahyun. The boy I hated most.
But the boy Jennie wanted.

A few weeks have passed and I haven't stepped foot outside my place. I couldn't go home, my parents would be bugging me all the time, and I couldn't go to anyone else's since I really wanna be alone for now.Bottles of alcohol were the only ones I felt on my lips, since hers were already on another pair. It drove me nuts, how this heartache was making me all kinds of poetic.
I hated it.
————
A few hours later, I felt a groan escape my lips as a continuous banging on the door was being heard.I tried ignoring it for a good 10 minutes but got to my nerves until I couldn't take it anymore.
I angrily shuffled around my room and made my way to the door, swinging it with annoyance. "What?" I ask with pure attitude.
"Move." 5 girls made an entrance to my apartment, dismissing my disinterest of 'guests'.
"You live in a pigsty or what? Jesus, ever heard of cleaning up?" Jeongyeon started to pick up the countless bottles of alcohol scattered all over my place. "What do you even care? Get lost." I shooed the 5 but they wouldn't budge.
"When was the last time you even took a shower?" Rosé picked up the used clothes I had laying on the floor. "I take one every day, excuse you. I may be heartbroken but I haven't lost my hygiene." I scoffed and took the clothes she picked up, tossing them in my hamper.
"Have you been eating properly?" Jisoo opened my fridge and looked around for anything edible. "Not important." I say nonchalantly as my eyes follow the figure of the shorter girl roaming my pantry. "This definitely won't do." She says and whips out her phone to dial somebody. "Yeah, I'd like to order four buckets of chiken. Uh huh, yep. Pepperoni pizza too. Yeah. Just the apartment across. Room 319. Thanks!" She hung up.
"You ordered food?" Jeongyeon looked up at us. "No, I obviously didn't, Sherlock." Jisoo chortled. I sighed and shook my head as I went out of the room to head to the rooftop of the building.
As soon as I got there, I felt the breeze tickle my skin, a feeling I haven't had in weeks. I smile softly, trying to remember what it was that made me not want to come up here all the time, observing the peaceful city.
Not long after, I hear the rooftop's door shut and I dismissed it, already knowing who it was.
"I missed you," I felt her embrace me from behind. Her short figure was only up to my shoulders, making me chuckle lightly at the girl. "I missed you too, little one." I smiled to face her and hug back immediately. "I'm sorry if I'm not much help. Just know I'm always here for you, okay?" She pouted as I nodded my head.
"Thanks, Chaeyoung."
————
We started eating the food Jisoo ordered and for the first time in a while, I felt happy."Smiles look great on you. You should wear them more often." Dahyun nonchalantly states my way as she puts a piece of chicken in her mouth and proceeds to eating as if she didn't say anything. "You're beautiful, if anything." I shot back, drinking my soda, doing the same thing she did.
After a few minutes, we heard the doorbell ring. Jeongyeon quickly got up to open the door. "Are we expecting anyone?" Rosé asks as we all waited for the person behind the door to make an entrance.
A bunch of excited "Hi"s and "Hello"s were heard by the doorway and to our surprise, they were none other than the rest of the gang! I was happy to see their faces. It made me proud of myself for not being a bitch, and for being sincere towards them about my feeling of wanting them to be here with me. "Jeongyeon texted that they were here, so I thought why not tag myself and the other girls along? Right?" Nayeon hugs me as she puts down some more food on the table.
We spent the rest of the day together catching up, fattening ourselves with unhealthy snacks, playing videos games, and watched movies together.
It was a blast considering it happened all in a day. I wish we could do this everyday. No problems, no bullshit, no heartaches.
Just me and my girls.
I hope someday, with Jennie too.
Even if it means only hanging out with her as a friend until the rest of our lives.
