Chapter 4

No one's Pov

The moon started to appear in the sky, it was 7:30. It was supposed to be a calm night but for two persons: Serena and Ash. 

Both of them agreed they would talk at 8 pm on that day.  Serena was stressing out as she was walking to the place she and Ash had remet after the incident that brings so much pain to both of their lives.  

When she arrived it was already 8 pm and as she looked to the sea she realized what she needed to tell him... She was so afraid

As she was distracted thinking she didn't realize Ash had just arrived.

"Hi Serena," He said his voice soft and gentle but he too felt afraid 

He didn't know how everything was going to happen

"Hey Ash," Serena said while she realized it was now or never 

She needed to tell him the truth about what happened but she didn't know how...

"So how have you been?" Ash asked to break the silence

"I've been fine, you?" Serena answered although that wasn't true

"I've been better... Look.." But before Ash could finish his sentence Serena said

"I'm sorry for what happened back when we were younger I know that it was painful to you and I don't even know why I didn't fight for us... The truth is me and Calem started hanging out and he started having feelings for me while I was still into you. After some days he decided to tell me how he felt and I told him that I liked someone else. He didn't like the fact of me liking someone else and being rejected so he started asking questions to Clemont about the guy I liked. When he found out it was you, he went to Pierre's office the headmaster of the Master Class and all the performances and told him that I was having a crush on a guy... And I shouldn't at least that's what he said. Once Pierre found out he came to me and threatened me to never see you or talk to you again or he would make both of our lives a living hell. I said I wasn't going to give up on you and that's when he said he would make sure you would never become a Pokémon Master..." Serena stopped for a minute. She looked at Ash to see if he was understanding or judging her. He was shocked he had judged her before not knowing what had happened. "And I-I knew how important was to you to have your dreams coming true and I couldn't be the reason why they wouldn't happen so when you asked me and did all that cute thing that I seriously loved Pierre was in there he was ready to do everything to destroy you, me us. So I said no, and since then he's been living like an owl in my life always careful at everyone I'm with. Last year he gave up and told me that I was getting old so he was going to find an arrangement... Ever since he's been trying to match me with someone but I always say no... That's basically what happened and I know how mad at me you are, and how hurt you can be but I'm sorry, I suffered too with all of this more than you imagine."

Once Serena stopped talking Ash was shocked 

He didn't know what to say... She suffered the way he did by everything that happened 

"Serena but why didn't you tell me that all of that was happening?? I could have helped you... You know I wake up every day and I just think how could things have worked out if you had said yes... I was hurt but I thought you weren't... I'm sorry too we should have talked about this before..." Ash said with concern in his eyes

He was almost crying just like Serena both of them were suffering for one another!

"I was afraid Ash... I didn't know if Pierre was gonna do something crazy... I didn't want to hurt you..."

"Well, I think we should forget about this... I want us to be friends again..." In both of them hearts the word FRIENDS was painfull "I can't live my life without you in it! I miss you helping me with everything and always there when I needed...!" Ash said

"I miss you too Ash! Let's forget about this and be happy again!" Serena said with tears in her eyes

Ash runs over to her and hugged her. She hugs him back

The two of them were so happy everything was back to normal but they wished they were together... 

In both of their minds, they were saying: "I love you"

But both of them knew this time they were going to fight for their love

Nothing could break them apart!
