6 years had passed, and the ShadowHunter was alone once more, almost. He was alone in his tower, Trisha was asleep (He had extended her apprenticeship) Talking to someone.
"Rogue, you there?"
Oh, i'm here, what do you need me for?
"look into my memories, do you think she's ready for a guild mission?"
Yes, she is...
"Thanks!" Sable said, smiling slightly
They arived at the port town of Orian, the local guild.
Trisha and Sable walked in. Sable was concealed in a light grey cloak, My old affinity, he'd explained.
"grade A quest for my and my apprentice" Sable said
"You bringing an apprentice? you can limit to a C for a first-third year"
"What about a 6th year?" Sable said coldly.
"I suppose" The administator offered a scroll, Sble half-snatched it from him and began reading.
nice little kill person isn't it just?
"not if It's Jarrus you're hunting" He muttered inaudibily.
is this really a good idea?
"you doubting my conpetance?" He said in the same tone as before
no I'm doubting hers
"she'll be fine"
He slammed the scroll onto the desk.
"We're in" Sable said, and walked out.
They needn't look far, the ruined section of town was 2 minutes away
"Well" Jarrus said, firebolts at the ready.
"Jarrus, Jarrus, Jarrus, tut tut " Sable said, and Rogue filled his mind, and his body. once in over 6 years, he'd been released, and he was going to destroy Jarrus.
Rogue hissed, and turned around, then he sprang, claws grew, but not animal like claws, more like wolverine's and they were BLACK, Trisha reacted with suprise, The archmage who'd just appeared gasped. ShadowHunter knew how the shadow magi fight, because he was one. Rogue faced the Archmage,
"I'm sorry" he said, as the blow smacked him unconscious, Jarrus leapt upon Rogue, or where he was, He'd moved, but he was just there only a second ago... He'd moved again, the claws were gone, instead two jetblack triangular blades appeared out of a gauntlet on his wrists. he brought them down from above, Jarrus dodged it, just. He didn't, however miss the razor sharp shadow fragment impaling his stomach. Nor did he miss the two bone spears, runes carved into them, also enter his stomach, Jarrus saw a great hole before he died, and was falling into it. Rogue looked up, guards were there spears ready to neutralize the new threat. The Archmage was gone. Didn't hit him hard enough, he realized. He saw a thinning of the ranks, and exploited it, he carved his way through the soldiers, and fled, from town, from his place in the forest, from any charted areas, into the wilds, his boots were shredded, sharp stones cut his feet, he didn't care they were negligible, All he had to do was escape.
