SHE HAD BEEN BACK AT SCHOOL FOR A MONTH, and quite frankly, the fact that little Weasley wasn't hassling her as much this year was slightly concerning. Of course she's happy about it, thrilled even ━━ now there's one less redhead in this school she needs to worry about. Unfortunately, she has a small, niggling feeling that this peace wouldn't last.
Despite that, Florence's September has been... okay? Well, some parts of Florence's first month have been okay ━━ the others? Not so much.
Seeing Christina again had felt like a breathe of fresh air. After basically locking herself in her room or avoiding her house altogether all summer ━━ the presence of someone calm and familiar put a lot of her raging thoughts to rest. Unfortunately, Christina was one of the only people she could actually stand. Lessons and time spent without Christina was time spent high and more than a bit out of it. It was a miracle that the teachers in this school were too daft to notice a student high off their arse at the back of their class.
Speaking of classes, Potions hadn't improved ━━ for whatever reason, Snape's usual wrathful vengeance rained down on her like a ton of bricks. Florence was in half the mind to skip his class, but he was her head of house, so she's decided against it.
Someone that she had been successfully avoiding, was Umbridge's DADA lessons ━━ that, apparently from a number of sources, aren't even real lessons. So it's all worked out ━━ or as much as it can do in the first few weeks of term.
Currently, the brunette was sitting languidly in the school library ━━ an assortment of rather dull transfiguration books scattered across the table as she tried to write an essay. Unfortunately, she wasn't high ━━ so she wasn't exactly having a great time. She would've gone to her dorm but Pansy seems to have made it uninhabitable due to her constant monologues about her rather strange infatuation with Malfoy. She then would've gone to the Ravenclaw common room to hang out with Christina, but she quickly realised that she wasn't there after remembering a date she mentioned. So her next option was, regrettably, the library. It really wasn't the worst place to go, it was nice enough ━━ but it was a public place. A very public place. Which she wasn't a huge fan of.
Namely, because anyone could come up to her and talk to her and she doesn't exactly take too kindly to that.
"Hi Florence!"
Speaking of conversations that aren't welcomed, Florence drew her attention towards the firey redhead bounding towards her, cheeks flushed from the wind and hair a mess from, presumably, Quidditch practice.
